best polish for tpi engines.

hi well iv spent hours on trying to get my engine to look fairly shiny and well the intake runners look ok but nothing great so what polish do you guys use to get a great reflection on the tpi setup? i need something to use by hand and dont care how long it takes to get her shining. iv been using megurs mag/alluminum and blk magic titanium polish and again looks lots better but nothing spectacular. so please tell me what you recommend. thanks everyone! also plz tell me where to get it iv got about 100bucks heading my way since my 13th birthday on the 23rd of sep. im sticking to hand polishing though.

OP, have you ground away all of the bumpiness? You're not going to get it polished with the way it is from the factory.

Ok, good. I was hoping that you weren't actually trying to polish the cast and actually sanded it down to a smooth finish. I'm probably going to be doing this with mine this winter.

Re: best polish for tpi engines.

If its already sanded down and back on the car. use the mothers billet polish.
If its still off the car use a good buffing wheel and white rouge.

Re: best polish for tpi engines.

If you want that shine search plenum polish although you might need to take it of the car for it could be better. If not i could polish it for you just pay me $20 for the work and for the materails to do it if you want

Re: best polish for tpi engines.

If you want it to shine a little more, I'd do what was suggested above. If you want that mirror shine, you're going to have to take if off the car and sand it smooth starting with a low grit sand paper, and finishing with a high grit. After that you can hit it with aluminum polish and it will look good. But if you REALLY want it to look perfect, go over it with Tripoli on a buffing wheel, and finish with white rouge on a buffing wheel.

Re: best polish for tpi engines.

You guys that have done this, what did you do with your runners? I was thinking about polishing the plenum and then maybe painting the runners a glossy gun metal color or something. I'm going to be taking a bunch of stuff off the engine this winter to paint my valve covers with that Dupli Color Metal Cast paint, probably use the red stuff.
