They look like simmons wheels. They are an aussie company, great wheels but not cheap.

Re: What wheels are these?

Not looking good if you like them, since they are custom made to order.

Yeah I heard about that, but it's pretty easy to get them over here, they were making wheels for a very long time, I think around 30 years

Re: What wheels are these?

Does anybody know what size they are? Looks like 17's or 18's

VAN454, you say they are still fairly common in Australia? Do you have any suggestions for places to look since they don't make them anymore? I'm really interested in getting these wheels.

Re: What wheels are these?

Fronts are 17" x 9.5" and backs are 17" x 10.5", these were designed for 4th gen cars so spacers are needed front and back unless you run a 4th gen rear then spacers for just the front.

The one shot you have on these in the USA is a wrecked late 90's Mecham Trans Am

These wheels sold new for around $3000/set so even used ones I have come across are still over $2000 and this has been few and far between.

I have a contact out for the repair company is AUS that the Simmons link refers too. His response was maybe I'll keep my eyes open and hinted at around $2000 plus $500-$750 shipping for a used set. I would never pay that kind of money for them sight unseen.

You could have these wheels made here for cheaper than this with the correct backspacing, I think I'll stick with Torqlites and call it good.

Re: What wheels are these?

As Joe said above, the shipping would add a fair bit to the price, and as for where to get them, I don't know anywhere that sells them online but there are a efw second hand wheels dealers around. The main issue that you would have is that most of them were put on Commodores, so they are metric stud pattern. You can get them in the Chev stud pattern, they are just a little less common.

Re: What wheels are these?

Really???? They sure look to have a deeper dish than those 4th gen rims on the Mecham site.

That car also doesn't look like it has spacers. There doesn't seem to be much gap between the spokes and calipers like there would be if it has 2" spacers.

Re: What wheels are these?

It's always possible the black car had a set made to there liking, the measurements I gave were from the Mecham site.

As far as bolt pattern 5 x 120mm should bolt right up to our cars, but don't know that first hand.

You could always call Mecham Performance and see if they had some wheels laying around.
