Lazy eye mod W/ HIDS FINISHED (sorta)
Ive had them in about a week now, i still need to make a harness for the HIDs going straight to the battery but for now they work. The bulbs are 8000k a little purple for me but ive got some 6000k i can put in. For the bulb housings i used early 90's grand prix headlight assemblys. I was able to drill wholes and bolt in the whole grand prix assembly and utilize the horizontal and vertical adjusters anyway heres some pics hope you guys like them. Oh and i have not yet found a good way to stop the headlights from coming all the way up, not that it matters because my headlight motor actuator does not work haha.

Re: Lazy eye mod W/ HIDS FINISHED (sorta)
Some people like the Firebird headlights, some hate them; I like them but decided to go with dual projectors in each (low and high), both with HIDs. In addition, I went with projectors in the fogs with HIDs as well. I'm in the middle of version 3.0 right now. What I will say, is that I had a '95 Grand Prix, in which I put 6000K HIDs, and you better stick some projectors in there or try to find Euro spec housings. I planned on projectors in my GP but threw the bulbs in the stock housings til the projectors arrived because I was impatient. Even with the lights aimed as far downward as possible, I was getting flashed by people thinking my brights were on. I love the look of HIDs, but they need to be done right. If you care, either you aim them so low you can't see jack so that you don't blind people, or you fit projectors with appropriate cutoffs. Not ripping on your fab work - props to you, but I grow weary of people slapping HIDs in any bulb housing, aggravating those who don't appreciate well done setups. Potential is there, just finish it up nice. Again, props on the fab work.

You consider those up that high, as "lazy eyes"?
I've always seen lazy eyes, as the door was virtually level when they were up. Yours look like they are almost up all the way.
As for stopping them. Just rig the stop to contact sooner. It is merely a resistance sensing motor. When it hits something that increases motor resistance, it stops. Really simply devices.

I admire the effort, but I'm afraid I dont see the point. It just looks like you have the wrong lights in it.

Sorry, but the lazy eye reminds me of firebirds that have bad headlight motors. Its almost as if you have made your car look broken.

1. the first four or five photos in the slide show, i feel like i could have done without.
2. the "Lazy-Eye" concept (cool name also) seems like it could be a good idea, although if i'm honest (and i always am) it seems like a mod that would seem more "right" on a highly modified pro-touring-type car...with good paint, and lots of mods.
3. in your case it looks a little hacked together because i can see like globs of resin or whatever where you apparently "chopped" the headlight housing to accomodate the shorter headlight, and then "glued" the chopped housing back together using globs of some sort of adhesive, so the result was predicatably not very professional looking.
