Finally found headlight covers I like :)

So I have been looking for headlight black-outs ever since I got the car over a year ago...the only ones I found are the ones that "box in" the headlights, which do look cool but not what I wanted...

Finally found these ones, and cheaper too

Yeah I did try that but I can only get a pic with glare from the flash, or glare from the lights LOL

I'll work on it and see if I can get one...

They do diminish the brightness a bit, but not too much, and once I get my brighter bulbs it'll still be brighter than stock
----------
PS - Not sure who makes them, this was all "no name" box etc.
The only place I found them was on eBay

LOL - Nah, between my fogs and the new bulbs on the way it is actually still way brighter than stock.

...still can't see SH*T when I back up in the dark though ha ha ha
Been procrastinating on my brighter reverse light bulbs...

Re: Finally found headlight covers I like :)

So I just went and got this pic now it is dark...this is with the covers on.

My fogs are halogen, and pretty bright. The headlights haven't dimmed much, but definitely a little. When driving they seem to not reach quite as far but I can see just fine. Can't really tell much difference...and this is with the old stock headlight bulbs

it looks like he has them held on with velcro you can see it on the headlight , and the cover, but these look like they could easily be mounted without having to use velcro

Re: Finally found headlight covers I like :)

Hey guys, sorry it's been a while my laptop hasn't liked me much this week!

So, the eBay seller is lightandplastic, I think.

But if you search "Camaro Headlight Covers" you'll find them...when/if they re-post anyway. I looked Thursday and they weren't up.

Anyhoo...they attach with similar heavy duty 3M "velcro" like my rear tail light covers. Of course the way our lights sit back under the hood u can't see any of the edges anyway. Even with the hood up they look pretty clean.

PS - I only put the velcro on the high beam side, so the shadow doesn't come through the normal headlights when they are on

Re: Finally found headlight covers I like :)

Some a-hole backed into me at 7-11 with a giant hitch and took out my driver side headlight/bumper andof course the cover.

Happy 2009 LOL!

Re: Finally found headlight covers I like :)

Thanks man.

On the upside it could have been WAY worse. It missed metal, so fender and hood are ok.
Just need lights and and the bumper can be repaired, but still...

Although if they just cut me a check I could get that done for way less than the Ins would quote as I have a paint guy LMAO

In the driver's defence, my car is 3ft tall, black and it was dark LOL
I know I can't see the damn thing in car parks at night sometimes! ha ha ha

I'd Like to see what the mirrored versions look like. But those blackouts do look really sharp..

Re: Finally found headlight covers I like :)

I asked about the mirrored they are $35 more and they don't let hardly any light through so they are truly only for show cars....and daytime i guess but I don't wanna take them off every night LOL
Shame cos they'd look sick, esp on black
