Anyone using 10 spoke SS rims???
I was curious if anyone is using the 10 spoke SS rims on their 3rd gen, espicially the 35th anniversary style (polished face with black inserts). Wanna see how they look on a Black 92' Z28. Post pics if you have some mounted. Thanks in advance.

Freakin' bada$$. Those would really set your car off. Way better than those '91-'92 rims.

Re: Anyone using 10 spoke SS rims???
I just recently bought a pair for my 91 RS. I haven't put them on the car yet because I haven't bought tires. Personally I think they look pretty good, fairly similar to z06 wheels which is what I originally wanted but couldnt pass up the price on these. I do wish mine were the 35th aniv ones but I'm happy with the regular ones.

I think I had 2 1/4 up front and 2" in the rear. I swapped to a 4th Gen rear and it doesn't require a spacer.

Re: Anyone using 10 spoke SS rims???
I bought my adapters from eBay. But be careful, the center bore was a hair too small on the first set that I received. I used 2" all around and my wheels and tires were perfectly flush with 285/40/17's. I had to roll my fenders

Here they are on a Trans Am. 2" spacers, rubbing at full lock but IIRC early third gens had more steering angle.
Here they are plasti- dipped black ( http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...-Dipped-Wheels )

Re: Anyone using 10 spoke SS rims???
Heres a better pic:
I have 2 1/4 in front, but I want to go to 2 since the outer bit of the tire will rub on the inner fender on full lock. The rear is no spacer with a 4th gen rear and still some room on either side of the tires.

Re: Anyone using 10 spoke SS rims???
I dont really like them usually... until I saw this car in one of the other wheel threads:
The thing is... it doesnt look bad, but I hate how that crappy matte silver just looks like plastic. Just screams aluminum wheel trying to look like a hubcap. I also hate chrome, just tacky looking on our cars. The machined aluminum look is fantastic as long as you dont have the black accents. With the black accents it just looks weird. So then Im thinking I kinda like the shape of the wheel, but just not the color... so what other options are there?
Although I dont like black wheels, they dont look half bad in black...
But I got thinking that they would probably look great in competition gray like the Z06 wheels... and I found these pics on LS1tech and decided I was right on the money! In competition gray, these wheels look AMAZING.

Doesnt look like plastic, looks like a functional, lightweight wheel. You know how opinions are... bottomholes, but I like an aggressive looking wheel that doesn't look like it was made to put on a showcar. Competition gray doesnt work on every wheel, but it looks AMAZING on some of them.
