Tail light blackouts.....

I just bought a 1992 camaro and it came with blackouts over the rear lights. They are held on by velcrow (dont know how to spell it ) and i bought fresh strips to get them to hold on better, but it is very easy for someone to rip them off and steal them. Does anyone know of i can use crazy glue gel to make it stick permanently, or any other way to get the blackouts on FOREVER, i dotn want anyone to steal them, so i want them on very tight.

maybe you could JB weld them in the black spaces between the lenses, wouldn't be noticible from the outside. Or you could always go with the black in clear paint idea, a lot of people have had good results with that.

I have them on mine and I too have worried about them getting stolen. Has anyone tried using the velcro and putting crazy glue between the two sides of the velcro?

the crazy glue between the velcro idea is what i used...worked great...but someone wanted mine pretty badly...and they ripped the velcro strips off the tail lights (the factory ones) and just took the whole thing...pissed me off...ah well...im gonna buy a extra set of tail lights and paint them with the see through paint...ha lets see em steal that!

Try to get a hold of a roll of double sided tape that 3M puts on those things like the bugflector or those window shade thingies. That tape lasts a lifetime and is very very difficult to remove unless you use a screwdriver or something. by the way, our side moldings are held on by that stuff. hehe, late.

Yeah man. Mine were Stolen off my car last night. I thought about screwing them in, but was like "hey who would steal something like this?" well the bastards got me. Took them right off my car. I at least hope it was a third Gener that is too dirt poor to buy them. If it was just a A hole.........That makes me madder. I really wish I spend the money on them. They were a B day gift from My buddies. SO SCREW THEM IN

OOOH, yeah the 3M trim adhesive works great, I forgot about that stuff. Just make sure both surfaces are clean and dry before installing.

I have "black bandit" and it has tailight covers, I took off the GTS stickers. My friends got stolen, so me and him went and found the guy that did it and stole them back. THEY ARE NEVER COMING OFF MY CAR NOW>.... Thanks to 5 black screws... just make sure you do a good job lining them up, and i used a dremel so that the screw heads will sit down in the hole and be flush with them.

The meat head I bought my car from siliconed them onto the lights. I took them off and ripped the lights to pieces so I just replaced the lights all together. By the way, thanks for the covers PORK. Just kidding, sorry to hear about your coevrs.

I have mine on with velcro stripes and in two corners I put a few dots of JB weld and It holds on pretty good and it is not permenent becuase the first time I put it on it lasted a few weeks and then I went to the carwash and they got lose. I am very lucky here in south Texas becuase they are very soft when it comes to getting your inspection sticker.
