I've seen all the info on polishing the rims, and to me it seems worth it. I've seen it done on the 91-92 Z28 Rims, and the Iroc rims... but will it work on the RS rims? If so, does anyone have any pics of this? I am curious how it will look if I do go through with it. I like the style of the RS rims, but they need more shine to em'

Are you talking about the 15-in. rims? I have seen it done before. Someone on here posted pics awhile back. I don't remember who.

 

It can be done but its a lot more difficult because the suface is rough underneath the paint

 

In order to do These rims, would you require an angle grinder? Or is there another sort of tool that should be used? I know it would be a bitch to do, but I enjoy doing stuff for my car. If I didn't, I probably wouldn't be on this website.

It takes a while to do it but when you finsh you will be proud of your self. A mouse sander is a must!!!

 

Hey purpleworm do you have any pics of your '91 Z28 rims? I tried polishing mine and gave up when I saw how much trouble it was. I need to see if it is going to be worth the hassle.
