Hi Temp Clear Coat over pinstripe on a plenum?

I put some machined grooves slots in the top of my Stealth Ram

Can I put pin stripe in the grooves, then put Hi Temp Clear Coat over it and obviously, will it stay?

why not paint the groves and then clear it? id be worried pin stripe might not hold up. maybe put some on and see how it holds upto the heat 1st. Then clear it all.

Hey Chris, I pretty much knew the answer but hoped that someone had tried this already.

I will lay some paint in the grooves then shoot some hi-temp clear on it.

I am tempted to let you powder coat the grooves then let your buddy polish it, then clear over all of it.

That would look good also.

Did you put the grooves in it to get rid of the harmonic vibration noise? If so did it work?

No I put the grooves in for cosmetics, looked very plain with just a flat top.

I welded a vertical support into the ID and that stopped the noise.

Red in the grooves and the rest the same silver color that you put on the intake base or polish the plneum with red in the grooves

Red/Polished would look awesome. Esp. since the valve covers are polished.
