Powder coating my wheels
I've never had anything powder coated, so excuse my ignorance. Is it possible to powder coat an already powder coated wheel? I love the shape and look of my wheels, but the hyper black color to me seems "off". When I bought the wheels it was either hyper black, or chrome(eww). I'd like to get more of a lighter brushed aluminum look. How much should I expect to pay if I take the bare wheels into a powder coater? See attached images for what I'm talking about.

Also, is there another option? Some chemical to remove the already powder coat and polish the wheels myself? I'd hate to ruin my wheels.

Normally you get them sandblasted then get a real nice powdercoat on top. You can polish them yourself, but it would be pretty difficult, not saying it cannot be done, but just a major pain. Guys over here in Denver will blast a wheel for 20$ and powder coat will be around 150 or so for the set, not bad compared to the price of chroming!!!
