We're telling him he's unreasonable in his expectations, he's abusing Maaco by showing up there 2-3 times a day to make sure they are on top of things, and we are also telling him that he's doing more harm than good by doing so.

The only thing we might be "bitching" about is his use of the caps lock. And I have to reitterate, if he is too cheap to buy a simple keyboard, it's no wonder he's going to Maaco and wanting a professional job.

Quick question for ya U4TSAF2, are you going to be in the booth with them when they spray or are you going to be sitting outside watching?

When someone is looking over my shoulder I answer all there questions. I also show them what I am doing and talk about what I am going to do. I also explain that my rate is 90.00 an hour, they usually leave me alone so I can finish there repair. Now, if you told the manager you would be there 2-3 times a day and he agreed fine. I would be bitching if the started sanding my car then let it sit for 5 days. I dont mind the caps, Im fighting getting bifocals anyway!

U4saft2, the reason everyoone is pissed about the caps is because it is akin to putting your nose two inches from somebody's face when talking to them, or poking them repeatedly during a conversation. It is bad ettiquette or whatever you may call it. You wanted people to follow your progression, respect their wishes to
make the post readable and you will get MUCH better responses.
As far as maaco, good job getting them to do the job you wanted, but I would not trade places with the maaco guy for any amount of money. You want a changeover and rust work done. In my experience, I wanted a buddy's dad to fix some dings and repaint my mustang(yah a mustang)with me doing a good deal of labor, they wanted 3500. He is good enough that people with 2000+ tahoes, mitsu's, etc... Now keep in mind that 1200 goes to more than parts and labor-some has to pay for the rent or lease of the building, salary for the body man, utilities, insurance..If this guy manages to not lose money on the deal he should working for Trump. But hey, they agreed to do it so good job. Please for the sake of the hardworking body guy and his family should he decide to jump, back off a little on the visits. I'm sure by now he knows you mean business: )

Stupid thread.

Gramps... insult the proper generation. In fact, I'm not sure you can pin-point what generation is posting anything on this forum. Yer bad...

The starter of this thread is clearly a moron though. I think we all agree about that.

Why are you guys flaming him so much? Calling him a moron isn't too polite. Can't you talk to him in a respectful manner? If you don't like the caps lock, don't read the thread, and don't reply to it. Seems simple to me.

And for those who still don't understand why he is speaking in caps, it has already been explained that his keyboard is broken.
