What product do I use to polish Lexan t-tops?
I searched but didn't find any threads about polishing t-tops, so what product do I want to use? I have a PC 7424 to buff them with.

For the most part, there is not an actual t-top polish, but you can use Mothers Back to Black or Plastic polish. It gives them a decent shine, but doesn't remove any serious hazing. Also, keeping the insides clean (with glass cleaner) helps them look better and of course removes all the fingerprints, etc.

I use a product made by Novus Inc. for my motorcycle windshield, watch crystals, palm pilot lens and anything plastic. They make a fantastic product that comes in several different grades. I have each one of them.
Plastic Polish #1, plastic clean and shine, antifog, antistatic, dust repellent
Plastic Polish #2 Fine Scratch Remover, restores original appearance to plastics.
Plastic Polish #3 Heavy Scratch Remover, removes hazy scratches and prepares surfaces for plastic polish #2.
Oh Yea.... It works wonders on tail light lens, side marker lens, signal lens
It can be found at most motorcycle dealerships (factory and independent).

I know there isn't a specific product for it. The insides are still shiny the outside is pretty flat looking. If plastic polish will work, I think I saw some Meguiar's has some plastic polish in their professional line that I can also use on my taillights.

That's a good idea, I didn't even think about wet sanding. I think I still have some 2000 grit sandpaper around somewhere. I'm going to buy 3Ms plastic cleaner/polish combo too. If I remember I'll resurrect this thread with some pictures for other people looking to do this.

I know this is gonna sound weird, but if you use household Pledge it fills in tiny scratches slowly over time. I use it on my Chinook helicopter lexan windows and it makes em look great!

Alright, well I found the 3M plastic polish at O'Reilly's. I spent at least 3 hours wet sanding them and then probably 20 minutes polishing with the buffer. They didn't get as shiny as I wanted, but at least they look clean now. I didn't get to take before pictures, but here's how they look now:
I think if I can find some 3000 grit sand paper I'm going to go over them again because you can still see scratches from the 2000 grit.

you need to polish it now...if youve ever heard of flitz, use that stuff or some plastic polishing compound and a good buffing wheel.

I am a Chinook Flight Engineer, stationed in Iraq. Im assigned a 13 million dollar helicopter.
All the windows except for the 3 cockpit windows (glass) are lexan. When the lexan windows get all sandblasted from numerous take off's and landings, we clean em up with window cleaner then hit them with the Pledge. You'd be suprised how well it works!
