Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Camarobeast, last I heard from the company you can just buy the front spoiler but the Japanese company has no experience taking international orders or how to ship international orders. They can't think of "how" they would do it....

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Camarobeast84, last I spoke with my guy Norihisa he said the company didn't have any experience on how or if they could ship international orders and how they'd even take payment. The shop is real small time if you can imagine it.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Camarobeast84, nothing new. I did find out the shop there does not speak a word of English...8( SO, the only way I can talk with that shop is to go through my crew that works in Nagishi Japan which is about 15 miles away from this shop selling the kit. The shop is willing to sell parts but they don't take credit cards. Shipping would most likely go through FedEx.
Thinking about it you're going to have to probably Western Union money or wire money to a bank account there, cross your fingers they don't rip you off and hope they know how to ship parts via FedEx to you.
Not really a safe way of doing business in my mind. I don't travel to Japan anymore either otherwise I'd offer to do all this for us. I do go to China a bit but haven't found / had time to date to get back to Japan.

Well, if you do make it back, or anyone can come up with a resolution, please let me know. I'd really like to have this kit before I have my car painted within the next few months...

Paypal... Now you just have to work on them shipping the front spoiler out.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
I would be interested but that is a lot more than I have. Plus the shipping costs to get the kit over here... I sure wish I had the money though.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
That would be nice but i would say the chances of you getting this kit are very very slim. When i went to japan, my host family took me to a shop similar to this one,(believe it or not some japanese prefer american muscle and they have some very sick looking camaros and mustangs) Id imagine this place is a tiny tiny hole in the wall because thats pretty much how its done over there. When i went my host family looked up shipping for my friend who wanted a lip spoiler for a Galant, and to ship it alone was almost doube the price of the part.

To have something that not many ppl have Price is no object. lol
No but really We just need one US supplier To pick up this spoiler and Make a mold of it and sell it. And make them in both ABS plastic and urethane.

I'd love to see a US supplier take one of their (Japan's) designs and copy it to sell it here...AAAHHAAA..See how the shoe fits on the other foot type deal. Realistically they do look like a hole in the wall place.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
I figured as much. Camaros have a very small niche there. It would be nice to at least get one though but realistically it looks slim. Im surprised a U.S. company hasnt picked this up, or something to this degree. And i would also love to have enough money to get something that nobody else has lol.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
First off I think ASCD is going to go out with Rex
2nd We have been asking ASCD to bring back there 5" Iroc Spoiler for years. And no such luck (and the ASCD 5" Iroc Spoiler is 10x better then Hawks design.)
You would have better luck geting a bigger company like wingswest to make them.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
The only thing that keeps me from approaching wingswest is I get the feeling they say "thank you" bend me over...not even respect me with lube and then not give anyone a discount that helped them bring the products / customer base to light. They seem to "big company". Rex was always one to consider ideas and work with you.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
The question is how they'd sell. Let's just say...
maybe if it could be done...
How many people would HONESTLY buy a whole kit or the front lip?

Not too bad; it acutally looks quite dashing! Though I'm not a big fan of third gens with aftermarket GFX. In my personal opinion, this looks nice, but the absolute best GFX made was the ones installed at the factory! =)

Id definately be in for one. Ive been looking for a set of mint ground effects, and they are really hard to find. Those I have found have outrageous prices, if im spending I might as well go all out.

Ok, lets keep the list of interested going. I really want to be able to purchase this kit, so maybe if we can generate enough interest, then some larger company will start making these. Unless someone knows someone on the 'inside' that could help....

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Interesting to say the least, but at those prices you could really have someone ho over your 91-92 chin and make some holes carefully. Might not have that forward swoop that they have but it would have the brake ducts. There are def ways to make shapes in a pretty reliable fashion. I meen look at Neil and his widened rear bumper. They had to fab the center sections. YOu can't even tell it got worked on. There are better ways than shipping from Japan in my eyes.

Neil!!!
I thought every last member on here knew who he was. First LSX motor in a third gen, first C6 door handles, first profetional widening I have ever seen.
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...plete-now.html
Take a week and read it all. Then change your pants, haha.
Craziest third gen ever.
Let me take one thing of many that his car has.... hmmm.. how about $900 head lights! The car is nuts.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Not to say it's not a nice car, but I think I lost you somewhere.
This Japan kit is just an alternative for folks who can't do what neil has done.
As far as the shipping, I have a friend in Japan who works in shipping.
He's still gotta make something off it, so I was hoping for the list to grow beyond 10 people.

What I am saying is that for that part that you want and for that money, just take 91 stuff and mod it. Thats what I am saying. WAY WAY WAY less money and not wierd international shipping.

For those of us that want this exact kit, I don't think there is any way to "mod" the factory pieces to achieve the desired results. Lets keep the interest coming, and keep this thread alive. We only need a dozen or so more now...

Yeah, I'm not sure it's gonna happen fellas. My friend in Japan hasn't heard back from them. I figured maybe they'd sell a few and he could ship them over (he works in shipping sometimes). It won't work if there's too few of us though.

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
So why don't we try to get up a group purchase of 10-20 people and make this happen. I'm sure we have at least five people interested so far, so why give up? We just need to get organized and stay determined...

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
Honestly guys I'm surprised nobody picked up on IorcAn89's idea. I guess its just me working from home/being able to basically choose my own hours but I'd be down for being shipped to Japan. Figure out who on here is down for the kit of course as many people as possible. Everybody write checks or I'm sure somebody is or knows a lawyer and we can work out some sort of contract. Throw in a couple extra hundred dollars per person so nobody has to bear the entire amount and ship my butt to Japan! I'm down. It can't be that much if we can get enough people to send me out there and put me up in a hotel maybe with a few bucks spending money and I'll bring ya'll back something nice! Saki anyone? Seriously guys I could care less even if its non stop or 29847 layovers. As long as I've got the laptop and maybe a PSP I'm rip roarin and ready to go!

Re: Japanese Aero Kit
I'm not saying it's not gonna happen, but until there's 10- 20 people ( I mentioned that before) it's not an easy task to get off the ground. Right we don't even have enough folks interested to get a knock off made.
We have about 5 right? That's not bad, but it's not enough yet. It's waiting game time.
