Heres the story Ill get pics up tommorow

So im driving all happy and carefree then, all of a sudden, woman from hell comes and pulls behind me.....She was tailgating me for like 5 mintues....SO annoying. So were stopped in gridlock traffic, and i cant even see her headlights shes so close. It was pissing me off. So traffic starts moving again and I take my foot off the brake...then woman from hell thinks cause my brake lights are off, everything is fine and she can go...SMACK....I feel my car lurch forward...Im like Woman from hell just hit me So I signal to the left, and get ready to pull into a husky gas station....and she switches lanes, give me a look and keeps driving! Im like! oh no! woman from hell is leaving!..... So I go back into my lane, snap a picture of her car with my phone, and get her licence plate number.

I goto work and I make a phone call and report this hit and run. The cops show up, i give them my statement and all the information they need. They say the will track down this person, and they are certainly at fault.

So Im at home, and the phone rings....something didnt seem right....I answer and the woman ask for me....IT WAS WOMAN FROM HELL

So she tells me shes completely suprised that **** hit me, and maybe it was just a pot hole i hit........

Now, being the smartass teenager i am....I took this as an opprutunity to make her look like a moron.

Im like, yeah lady, a pot hole did this, I almost forgot potholes make your car lurch forward and leave damage on the bumper.

So shes like

WFH: (woman from hell)"Well if your looking for money, you came to the wrong place"

me: (me) Well unfortunatley for you body shops only accept money, I dont think they will accept anything else....

WFH: Well I dont even remember hitting you

Me: how could you not, you were tailgating me for like 5 mintues, hit me, switched lanes, and looked at me

WFH: Well why didnt you stop

Me: WHAT??? I signaled into the gas station, thinking you would follow....cause you hit me....

WFH: I though you were turning

ME: I WAS! INTO THE GAS STATION!

WFH : Well the police said there was barely any damage....

Me: umm so...you still hit me, the bumper needs to be repainted, there wasnt damage before, and now, believe it or not...there is!

WFH: Well dont you need to get it inspected within 24 hours, what if a rock bouces up from the back of a truck and chips off more...

Me: It doesnt matter!!! It has to be repainted no matter what! i could go peel off all the paint right now and it would STILL have to be repainted

WFH: Well you have to get a quote within 24 hours.

Me: Umm ok but that doesnt change the fact that you hit me

WFH: Well Im a student and cant afford to pay for it

Me: Listen, I worked my *** off for this car, Im still paying off the loan i took to buy it, Im just out of highschool and cant exactly pay for your mistake, you hit me, it wasnt there before, I have pictures of my car all the way around so dont even say it was there before, I know what kind of condition my car was in, I wash it twice a week, and it looked great up until you plowed into it!

WFH: Well sorrrrry about your "precious car"

(me getting angry)

ME: listen, you hit it, so your gonna suffer the consequences, its your fault, next time pay attention, if you dont want to pay for it, I will gladly contact your insurance company, cause im not letting this slide, little damage or not, you still hit it, and now my nice paint is scuffed and scratched.

WFH: I have to go , heres my number........

So if youve made it this far, you can see how pissed off i really am, I cant believe she would even think i didnt notice......

Ill post pictures tommorow of the bumper, although its not bad, its still damaged

I hate it when people ride your ***, especially in the middle of traffic. It just doesn't make any sense you know? Anyway, sorry to hear about the damage. No matter how little it is, damage is still damage, and it hurts....haha. Good luck with the woman from hell!

Long read and I really hope you get her to pay for the damages. I was pulling into the post office about 3 weeks ago and I was 3 feet into the parking lot, car stiil on the street and a lady in a Range Rover backs up like 15 feet and turns right into my front bumper. I didn't have a working horn and it happened so fast I couldn't pop it into reverse fast enough. well the WFH gets out, looks at her car, shoots alot of profanity at us and leaves. I was like WTF, I got her liscense, got an estimate from my insurance and decided to just leave it because of the hastle involved., minor scratch and a little crack. I sold that car anyway but I really hope you can get your car fixed and good luck.

anyways, sorry to hear about your car 83, but at least you were doing the right thing and actually thought about getting your cellphone out and taking a picture. that bitch was dumb and ignorant during the phone call. i wouldnt doubt if she keeps making excuses so she wont have to pay for anything, so just watch out for that. good luck with everything.

I hate how their (people who hit you) first response is always 'if you're looking for money, you're looking in the wrong place"....I had someone rearend me before because he admitted to not stopping because he was looking down and fiddling with the radio...used the same line.


I also love how she said "what if a rock bounces off a truck and chips it more"......ummm I was unaware that trucks from behind you can propel rocks at a faster rate forwards then they are driving....at least it doesnt typically work that way

Yeah and failing to remain at the scence of an accident is a felony, thats what put a scare into here i know it did. The cops seemed suprised that she left, lol cause it seems so stupid to do it while im in the car and watching her..... idiots well im going to get my quote before work, Ill post it here, I know its gonna be high cause im going to a dealer ship.....and they will tack on more labour because of the stripes that need to be masked off

Tell them it was a custom candy paint and when she hit you it was so hard that it knocked the top layer of candy off. That would be so EXTREME!!!!!


That does suck though and I hope she gets her head out her *** and realizes she messed something up that she didn't have to pay for. I can't stand when people think there stuff is great and when they mess up your stuff they think its no big deal.

Sorry, by the time i got home from work it was to dark to take pictures.

So I called WFH in the afternoon and heres how this call went.....notice how much nicer she was

Me: Hey is this **woman from hell**
WFH : Yeah, whos this
me: its curtis, im the one you hit yesterday
WFH : oh yea.....
me: yeah well i got a quote from the local dealership, but only over the phone....they were all booked up
WFH : Well how do you get a phone quote.....?
Me : you phone
WFH: So what is it
Me: between $400 and $1000 dollars, it will only be up near 1000 if say you ripped the bumper or dug into it
WFH: **sniff** ohhhhh....
Me : yup, just letting you know, but im going to another shop after work, Ill call you later with that quote
WFH : **sniff** ok then.....bye now

Awww, shes crying SO WHAT.....wont change the fact that she hit me.

So the quote i got from another body shop was $374.50

So yeah, im gonna call her again and tell her the good news haha....arggg but im still pissed

i was surprised at reading this story. the only way anyone would "flee the scene" on me is if they drive faster then me. i would be phoning the police and providing chase.

in oregon if somone hits and runs with a license plate from out of state (like wyoming or california etc...) the cops do NOTHING!!!! so you hafte catch em`. and i would.

I had a guy cut a lane short one day way back when i still had the camaro mostly stock, he looked at me and sped away....in a honda, he didnt get far, i was on his ***, came over a hill and lomost hit him, because he was driving the forementioned honda , he goes i didnt know, i go dude, parts of your car flew, look at your front end, thank *** all he did was rub some paint off mine, didnt even knock the bumper off alignment, so i contacted him a few times just to try to get the cash out of him but it was gonna be a pain, so i said forget it i got screwed up paint on teh roof and a busted front bumper.....its not worth chasing him all over for a paint touchup......However someone hits it now there will be hell to pay, ghost work usually cant be "touched" up ie my bumper would never have the same exact effect as the rest of the car which means a repaint which would suck for them...and me really since its immaculate,

Moral of the story, this is partly reason of hy my car is not daily driven

jesus alot of people cant drive... bust out a bag a chips bfore readin because heres my most recent story, luckly no car was harmed and no i wasnt in my bird but it still relates to the topic...
Yesterday i was driving down michigan avenue heading to work. the speed limit is 55 and its a two lane road. well i was in the left lane and traffic is pretty congested in the morin so i didnt pay alot of attention to the guy on my butt untill he started flashin his brites... now mind you im already doing close to 60... well i jus kinda ease of the gas a tad and start doing exactly 55, just to see what he does now, this guy is drving a late model silver taurus btw, so the jokes on him if he were to hit me because when im in my '94 Gahd'AM i dont give a dam lol. then he jus starts to lay on the horn and flash the brites some more, so i layed on the brake pedal and then sped up again. i noticed there was a truck in the right lane doin about 45 so matched the trucks pace and all the while i was treated to his brites and his horn. i was jus thinkin it was too early for this crap... the truck slowed down some and i didnt want to go any slower because i didnt want to hold any of the other drivers hostage and well i tried to beat him in our little drag race but his 6 took my 4... ah well..

So shes gonna call me tommorow and tell me wether they are gonna pay in cash or go through insurance.

I always said, if i ever get hit i would be getting out of my car swinging.....but now that it happened, it came as a complete suprise to me. Plus the little bitch ran, and i couldnt chase her cause i was to busy pulling over in gridlock traffic.....thinking she would pull over too.... If it were possible i woulda been chasing her all over town.....how hard is it to beat a 89 sunbird? I think an iron duke could even keep up

as long as it's in, shave the handles, antenna, take care of any potential rust/rust spots.....just playin, it's good she's gonna have to pay, and Im sure she's dumbfounded...alot of people dont realize that cracking a 'plastic' panel takes so much work to fix......it's almost usually better (from what Ive been told) to replace it if the cracks show spidering....because it will end up doing it again down the road

I can imagine how mad you are, considering I have been hit and run before.

Don't mind i like to tell the story. I was still in highschool, hadn't long had the camaro on the road, the only thing really wrong with the car was a cheap paint job and a few dents in the hood. Well I set in the car until the campus police or time to go comes out and tells me i need to go inside. Well anyways my car was perfectly straight, and even in the parking lot. 3:25 pm rolls round i am usually the first to my car, go out there and noticed something odd. My cars rear now sat in the next parking lot at a 45 degree angle. To this day I know who did it, and to this day that explorer still wears a white streak of paint on its bumper. And to this day the guy avoids me, i mean he ran off one day when he saw me. Unfortunatly i was told to not press charges. Football preppy jocks always get away with the crap. Luckly just a dent in the rear quarter panel on the driver side.

So i can relate to this situation your in. It sucks, I hope you get paid, and hope the "WFH" gets hers.

83, nice paintball guns. ur tippman looks identical to mine. sux about ur car but good thing ur goin after her. i has hit once and the guy took off. late one saturday night i was sittin at a stop light. all of a sudden i hear tires lock up and im gettin pushed thru the intersection. it was lik 11 at night the guy had no lights on. he hit me goin about 25. so i back up, leave the car runnin and just as i go to get out he takes off. so now im pissed off. gett in the car go to take off only to realize the ebrake is still up. stall, start back up and take off after him. i ran two red lights goin about 85mph after him. i caught up but he took off into a real shady area and i didnt wanna go there at night. no license plate on his car either. a buddy of mine saw him a week later a few towns over, tried to follow him but lost him in traffic. my car wasnt to bad cause he went under me more than into me. new bumper cover, bang out the trunk a lil, and replace the exhaust tips that werent even a week old. he hit me so hard that my rear seat belt covers ended up in the front seat and my head unit poped outa the consol. i got hit in a parking lot about a year later where the person also took off while i was in school. that chipped the paint off the bumper and prompted a complete disassembly and repaint. good luck with WFH and i hope she gets whats comin to her. o yea by the way whats that smaller hand gun in the pic u posted?
