Trans Ams don't need blackouts, they are blacked out from the factory. Anything darker would most likely be illegal.

lol dude actually the 85-90 T/A tail lights are darker, since they don't have the amber portions on each side. This topic came up a while back, and I think the consensus was that no company makes T/A blackouts.

Hey SAE
How much did those black outs cost?
I wanted to get these:
But now im debating because i couldnt find any for our bubble lights, and then i saw yours and your bird looks like mine,
i was even thinking about fabricating a whole NEW brake lights system, to the point, where it would have a control over ride by a little personal orginzer or something ghetto rigged, so that at night, it will have:
FIRE (bird) BIRD
And then when brakes are applied it lights up,

*** * ***** ****

* * * * ****
Im not sure, any suggestions is appreciated, hope you guys get somewhat of an idea of what im talking about
ooh heres the link for the other black outs: http://members.xoom.com/knt2000/tailcov.html

thanks for the compliment, i love em. what i did is i went to GTS's website at www.gtstyling.com and picked out my model car. then i took that part number and went over to summitracing, www.summitracing.com, plugged in the part number, and ordered them there for 69.00. the thing about dealing with summit racing is that they are usually the cheapest i can find and deliver very fast and are very reliable, i think many people would agree. once it warms up a little here i am gonna remove the GTS logo, but other than that i say go for it. the only thing you may have a problem with, and i know someone else on the board did, is getting all three pieces to fit exactly right. mine did fit right away, then i grinded about an 1/8" off the center piece on the side the needed to be moved and now they fit beautifully...glad you like....lata

here is a 91 firebird i once owned..I had the 3-piece kit, but the first burn out i did, they fell off and got ran over by someone...GTS replaced it but only sent me the left and right, and not the center piece..the reason they fell off was cuz i forgot to heat the double sided 3M tape during the install

yep, only $69.00 for all three pieces
just take you time with the install, i heated my tail lights and the tape with a hairdryer, and then had to grind the middle piece a bit, but those things aren't going anywhere....if you get them let me know if you need any help....lata

1985 WS6 Trans AM
glass T-tops
bone stock sloth of an engine LG4
T-5 tranny. thank god, i couldnt stand an LG4 auto.
Plans for an LT-1 or LT-4,
also plans for dual flowmaster exaust.
Got a corvette when i was 16, paid for it myself, screwed the engine up (idiot light didnt work, and i trusted the guy when he said he just changed the oil), and it turned into a project car.
now my TA is my daily driver. not a bad one, but it needs to be faster.
