Organizing/cleaning up engine bay, suggestions needed

Car: 1981 Chevy Malibu, 1987 Formula 350
Engine: 229 V6, L98 TPI 350
Transmission: TH350, 700R4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt ???, 9 bolt 3.27 posi
Organizing/cleaning up engine bay, suggestions needed
Okay, so the car is ready to hit the road except for the lack of exhaust....got the wiring done today (errr...my friend did, LOL), and it looks sooo much better, but what else can i do to make the engine bay look better? I'm gonna finish putting the split-loom over the wireing clumps and stuff, and tucking the wires out of the way and stuff, but what else can i do?
my plan is to:
Cut off the A/C bracket that I dont need...
New fuel line (black)
Once its on the road, wash the engine bay carefully.....
What else can i do for little/no money to make this look even better? Thanks

you know what sets your engine bay, get a new coolant reservoir and windshield washer fluid one as well, do that for starters, youll be suprised YOu can order them at your local GM dealership

I wish mine looked that neat. Looks like you got rid of a bunch of spagetti. I used a power washer, then some CD2 worked great.

Couple things that always brightened up my engine bay was to use a cleaner wax and any painted stuff under the hood. For example, all the paint at the back of the bay right below the windshield wiper, the inner fender edges, and the painted area around the hood lactch area. So pretty much if you can see it and get a hand on it, wax it. I'd use a cleaner wax too. But before, I would try and clean everything that you plan on waxing. Even if you just use some simple green or some other mild cleanser on a rag and wipe it all down before you hit it with wax. Then sometimes I'll end up throwing some Armoral or rubber restorer on a rag and start wiping down all the hoses and plastic parts. Do those things and how you'll be pretty suprised how much your bay will pop then before with just the cost of some time, elbow grease and some mild soap, and cleaner wax.

Remove both those large eye sore bottles and replace with a combimation unit from a Ford Exploder That's it down on the driver side.

Hey Dave84bird,
What year Explorer did that come out of? Also, is your mass air flow hooked up because I only see your K&N coming off the throttle body? Where did you pick up the air filter...do you have a part #? I want to get rid of the stock long tube that goes to my filter box. One other thing, did you relocate your battery because my 89 model is on the drivers side.

mabey buy some new brake fluid and clean ur brake fluid resivoire(sp?) and flush out all teh old black fluid. use a rag to clean clean the inside of the resivoire. yes it will cost u some but itle clean up that side and wont wear out ur calipers either.

I got the bottle from a 91 Explorer but it was used in some F150's also. as was stated above my engine is a speed density car, but the battery is on the passenger side because my car was originally a 305 TBI, I am actually plan on moving it to the trunk soon.
