finish film, sure finish and some nxt tech wax

spent the better part of the afternoon in the garage putting the finishing film to the candy. i got the finishing film from len at autobodystore.com. i also got a nice airvantage da sander to use it on and the interferance pad. i will never go back to wet sanding after using this stuff. man it makes short work of the sanding.

next was the sure finish polish and the mikita buffer and a wool pad, then more sure finish with a lose wool pad they sent me to try out. what an incredable diffrence it all made.

lastly was a quick coat on NXT tech wax. gotta love how easy it is to use and it smells good too.

1/2 the car is done other 1/2 next week.

finish film is made by 3m and is used on a d/a with a real short throw. and used dry, works nice.

Outstanding looking ride, would like to see more....

BTW, do you mask off your hood louvers while buffing? My factory
finish is good (not as nice as yours, obviously) but for a daily driver
it's serviceable, but whoever buffed it out before I bought it hazed
the louvers , and I don't want to repeat that.....

i take em right off, gives a nicer finish, and since my louvers are brand new i don;t have to worry about the studs breaking.
