Anyone out there use the paint from summit on firebird tails and have pics? I like the dark tint of the t/a tails but love how the base bird tails light up at night. So i figured i could get the best of both if this paint works. Also, what did you do with the center section?

 

Heres an old pic of my car with nightshades...none lit up, and they're Ta Lights...but you get the idea. Thyey lit up only slightly darker than stock. And I just painted my center section to match.

The car is dirty and the center piece is missing right now...but they are Firebird tails with three coats of Nightshade on the inside of the lenses.

 

Mine are TA tail lights too. Used a full can across all 3 peices, and YES I know I still need to get a replacement bird for the middle section. I also have a full coat of spray clear on them, and waxed. I like them a lot, it goes really well on a black car.

no niteshades but i have been thinkin about it, as for the center portion with base taillights i painted mine body color (dark green) and it looks great. i always get complements on it

 

Stingraye: Looks good, but I think you need to buff 'em so it has a shine to 'em like the rest of the car...too dull for my taste

as for the possiblity of getting a ticket - They gonna keep giving me no plate tickets so whats another ticket to the collection Seriously though, if i get pulled - it came stock that way

 

thas so true, i havent gotten pulled over for driving with my foglights on . and even when i get pulled over its never for fog lights. its usually for stupid things . i believe it would be easy to tell a cop that it came factory , especially around my neighborhood. I have yet to see a 1990 firebird . Now if a ***** were to tell them that there tail lights came stock they would probably laugh at him.
