Homemade Billet grill
So I needed a grill for my 84, and i didnt wanna buy one. So I made my own. Ive helped make 3 or 4 for fullsize trucks and its pretty simple, so I took some leftovers and you can see the results below, the spacing is 1/2", and you can get the aluminum cut however you want it, this is 1" wide 1/4" thick.
All ya gotta do it cut the length you need, make a cut about halfway across the bar and bend it to your desired angle. Use 1/4 all thread rod to go thru all the slats, of course drilling holes for the thread, Use some aluminum tubing that the 1/4 all thread will fit thru to make your spacers, whatever spacing you want.
The ones that Trenz makes for our cars, the is smaller than what i made mine, but i didnt like the way theres looks, the bars are to close together in my opinion.
But here are a few pics, and if anyone wants ill do a write up about it and ill partially make another so i can get some good pics to show what im talking about.

Sorry I dont know what he paid for the aluminum, but he bought alot of it, enough to make 2 full size truck grilles, that cover the headlights and still have some leftover. I think he said he gave around $120, but again that was enuf for 2 and mine plus have about 4 , 6 foot peices left.
Ill do a write up with some pics and stuff, when i make another one here pretty soon. Then ill post it here or make a new thread.
Thanks
Kevin
