OEM Color Code???

Transmission: T56
OEM Color Code???
ok...i wanna touch up paint my black camaro. there are two kinds of black by DupliColor for chevy 1990. GM1 and GM381(metallic). i ripped off the code labels on my door...so its not there. can i use my vin to figure out which one it is?? thanks guys

The VIN will not tell you the color code. Do the two blacks look that much different? I don't think that GM would put two different blacks on the same line of cars with out one being metalic. If so, trial and error!!

this may help or it may not. My little red book for firebirds only list one black for 90. The code is 41

I don't see how the 'colour' black be different,,but apparently GM thought some needed different name, guess it sounds more ritzy.. anyways,, the # after the / is what you should find on a touch up paint can.
I can tell you this,, you don't have metallic black if it's still a factory colour. Hope that helps any
