I have had a hard time finding wheel manufacturers that use the Black chrome finish other than boze. Can anyone point me in the correct direction??

I had the dual snorkel set up I'm using on my '92 RS black chromed, and it was very pricey, $260. Not many plating shops are able to do it. So if you find anyone who can it will probably be $$$.

black chrome is a coating, pick your shade and have at it. usually 20-100 a wheel depending on difficulty. that or if worse comes to worse call up boze, talk to larry or zac and send them your wheels to their coater.

Its not called black chrome, its called permastar . Their are not many places you can have it done. I called that Pacrims place previously and I thought he quoted me $75 per wheel. All the do is wheels (last time I asked a few months back) and this stuff is more resilient than chrome. Not only that, if you do manage to chip it, that particular area can be redone without having to redo the whole wheel (the way you would with chrome). Permastar is the hotness and I will have it done to my wheels one day.

88,
i'm sorry, i'm afraid i don't have any...i did see the car in person recently though....looks just like in the photos... he has them on a 93 vette....i bought his old one's that were like new...they are ebay replica's....AFS did a small run of a similar coating, but i didn't see 11" rears...i emailed them regarding their version of this....they sold pretty cheap IMO http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7943906995 i don't know if the coatings are the same though....here are some pics my wheels installed...direct bolt-on...corvette GS offset...regular black powdercoat, 17x11 rears and no adapters or spacers...

looks like super mirror black powder to me.
May not be but it looks the same.
Could be an off branch product of that new chrome paint.
It would be pricey to do an entire rim and timely though.
Cheaper to just do the outer visible surface.
Like when ya paint the rims with tires on.
unless they are rusty or something.
ya never gonna see it.
