Should I take the z28 emblems off?
Hi Everyone
I recently bought a 92 RS. It's very nice, miles are decent...overall I'm very happy with the car except one problem. The car has z28 ground effects. The back bumper has the 5.7 tuned port injection emblem and the sides have z28 but it has the RS emblem on the dash. I've done some searching on the board about this. Maybe it's a girly thing I dont know but I feel kinda fake having it on there. Should I leave them on or take them off and if I take them off is there a way I can put RS emblems on it...I'm thinking that I might not be able to but you guys are the experts so any advice (and possible flames) is helpful.
Thanks

Well you can change the z28 emblems back to rs, they will fit right in the same spot. Whether you want to or not is up to you.

that's up to you and your preference. Alot of people don't like fakes but emblems can be expensive to replace. So it's totally up to you.
By the way if you do change emblems if they are silver emblems i'll buy them from ya

Actually, whether it's a 91-92 Z28 ir RS, they all got the same ground effects. Without a doubt, someone replaced all the emblems and added the 5.7 Tuned Port Injection emblem on the rear bumper. Why? I would have NO idea....because it's not. If you have the cash...I would definently get the original badges for the car...because for all of the people out there that know 3rd gens...they will know it's not a true Z28.
Glad you noticed though

91-92 Z28=
High Rise Spoiler
Z28 Badging (outside and inside)
TPI System, carb was not an option
Power Blister Hood
Foglights (unless a 1LE)
Bowtie Grill
16 inch wheels
Probably a few other things...but..you get the idea

does your car have the z28 tail lights? if so, it seems the last owner wanted make it a z28 clone, all you will need is the dash emblem for a z28. the only way they could tell its not a z is to check the vin and repro codes. and when you think about it, a lot of guys has clones whether its a first gen or fourth. but its your car man make her the way you want her to be.

Yeah I know for sure it's an RS. The guy that sold me the car was honest about it upfront. I'll have a pic posted sometime tonite/early tomorrow. No high spoiler and also the front has an RS grill...no fog lights. But thanks for all the opinions
