park Lights have condensation build-up
Hey guys just need a little help to figure out a way to seal my park lights up so no condensation gets in anymore, it is annoying because they are brand new and they look old again because of the condensation. here is the picture of what it looks like.

This may be the worst suggestion ever but my pop (in his infinite wisedom) drilled a couple tiny holes in the parking lights of his Cadillac STS when this started happening. The problem went away but I can't say it helped the esthetics.
It's all about providing a vent for the condensation to evaporate from. Maybe a hole or vent on the other side of the lens?

Its something to do with, the lights not being able to breath, yeah i know that sounds funny, look at the bottom of the light, there should be a drain, if you see one, put it back in the front bumper and look to see if the drain isnt blocked if it is, cut the nose so it can drain freely, that should fix your problem.

well the tech article said this Using a small fine tooth hand saw, notch fascia in lamp opening as shown in Figure 1. so does this mean i should make a breathing area for the bottom of the lamp? so that the breathing hole for the light has the area cleared for it to breath? i hope that made sense? heh

I just paid $283 for a new GM front bumper cover, $112.80 to have them paint it, and $206.80 to have them put it on, now GM wants me to crawl under the car to cut a hole in it....
Consider it done....

Man i need to get a new front bumper too. You gotta love the flexibility of those front bumpers because i have hit so many things and there is no dents just scratches. haha i have been saved many times.

I replaced mine a few months back. Only the passenger side does that. The other nevers gets any water in it. Drives me nuts...Have to look and see if the drain is blocked.
Couldnt you just drill some 1/8" holes in the back side. Just to get some air in there to dry it out. You wouldnt see them.

ok guys i did what the article told me to do and its been a day now and they are still fogged up. is it just because its really cold outside? but the funny thing is i keep it in my garage.... so you would think it would clear up over night but it doesnt!!! so should i drill holes in the actual light now or should i just wait a few more days to see if the breathing thing achually works?
