well, its Victory Red to be exact, and it costed the guy that got the car painted 341$ and it was the Pro3 paintjob. it looks good from far away. but up close its got its flaws, chips and everything, oh and the bumper is chipping. but im getting is painted candy apple red whenever i get it all done up with ground effects. if ANYONE has 85-90 gfx layin around, ill buy em, im in need. and i gotta go to the dealer i guess to buy the rocker mounts

stay away from the gfx! i hate the gfx! car looks great as is, and even better with the drop. i personally am a huge fan of the sport coupe, especially the 87. is it an LT or just a regular sport coupe? mine is an LT (nothing really special, just an interior package, but there was only like 9000 or so produced )

i agree with mw66nova. i think the car looks great without the GFX, but thats my opinion. i also like how the iroc wheels look on sport coupes , or lts, it gives it a mean look.

Hey, pretty clean car man, good touch with the 85-87 IROC wheels. Be sure to follow up with pics as you come along with the mods.
I do have to admit that. There seems to be a lot of "tension" lately between SC's and GFX cars on the boards, especially the "GFX haters unite" messages in some people's sigs (lol). Personally I have owned both styles of Camaros. I used to have an 87 LT that had no GFX, and my past two Camaros have had the GFX. Either way, in my opinion, both are badass. They have their ups and downs. I do have to admit, the SC's have more of an old school muscle look to them, as where the GFX 3rd gens have more of a modern and sleek look to them, especially the 91-92s. I love both, but either way, to each his own. If all Camaros were the same and the only thing that really differed between them all on the outside was paint and wheels, that'd get old pretty quick.

you have to admit, a clean thirdgen with no extras like gfx, spoiler, etc. looks frickin' clean.

Okay everyone likes thier cars thier way thats been said over and over and over again if the guy wants ground effects(which i think would be a huge improvement) then leave him alone and let him get what HE wants for HIS car

maaco did it all, maint because the car hasnt been in an accident except for what i did to it. but there was no body damage, just a tweaked subframe, which was straightened. in everyone's honest opinon, what should i do first? should i do all my suspension work(SFC's, shocks, struts, trac bars.....) then do body work? or the other way around? racing seats will be added in the middle of suspension and body, which ever order i do them in

Car: too many ...
I plan to convert all my cars to the 91-92 GFX. Everyone got their own opinion on what looks best, I say do what you like the best, forget what other people say. If you like no GFX, then leave it, if you want 86-90 then do that, or if you want the 91-92 GFX, then do that. BTW, you dont need to goto the dealer to get those brackets. Get them from a parts car in some yard. You also might need to modify the car a bit to get the GFX on (as in cut some parts off, or make holes in other parts). Once you have the GFX in front of you you'll get a better idea of what needs to be done. I have some cars with updated GFX, an 84 SC with the 86-90 GFX, and a 89 RS with 91-92 GFX. Any years Camaro GFX can fit on any 82-92 Camaro body. Not bolt on, but its do-able.
I would recommend you paint it last if you want to show the car. Only because once its painted you're not gonna want to damage the paint in any way, and if alot of work is still going on with the car that kinda increases the chances that something might happen. Could be something small you wouldn't even think about, like a wrench slipping out of your hand while standing back from working on the engine. I remember I scratched my car once while jumping the battery, one of the damn cables slipped and landed on the upper portion of my pass fender, make a nice scratch in the SOM paint. A little mistake like that could ruin the whole thing (as far as shows are concerned).
KiLLJ0Y, quit being a hater. Nobody likes haters.
