No thirdgen is ugly, but yours would look better if you lowered it. And nothing beats primer for a daily driver.

i wouldnt call your car ugly, it just looks neglected with the halfassed two tone. do yourself a favor, go get about 10 cans of rattle can flat black and 10 cans of spray primer, a couple packs of assorted grit sandpaper, some tack cloth, a bunch of roles of masking tape, a ton of old newspaper, and do yourself a $30 paintjob. obviously it wont look paint booth beautiful, but flat black out of a rattle can doesnt look as bad as one might think. me and a few friends did a spray paint job on a friends car for fun, it was a neon, we painted it gloss orange, and the trunk and roof were flat black, then i sprayed some flat black flames on the hood for kicks. the orange looked litterally like a pumkin, cause it dried a few different shades, but the flat black looked even and good. way better then any of us expected with spray paint (especially the flames, i was proud, it was my first time painting flames on a car). it will take you only a few hours, and if you scratch it, paint that panel over again, it will look the same. some might laugh, but why not?
as far as your stance and wheels, a different picture would do wonders. some cars look good with wheel gap and a certain set of wheels (especially on thirdgens, if the rear tires are slightly taller and wider then the fronts)
but anyway, if your looking for a cheap *** solution to make your car look decent for while its being worked on, spray paint it yourself. then when you want it dont correctly when your finished with the car, just sand it off.

Yes it's ugly, especially the unpainted part.. If you don't wanna paint it, get a Coors comercial, like a giant sticker on it or somethin.

People seem to skip on the bare essentials to have a good looking car......
Plus, only old school muscle cars can pull off the primer look, not thirdgens......

If it were one color..even primer AND if those rims stay you have to get some white letter Hoosiers or M/T...Yeah Flat black with big slick on those rims would look tough.

The wheels look fine BTW, I would really not do spray bomb black wheels but that's my opinion.

It don't necessary have to look bad primered, if you have trick wheels, like you have, keep 'em clean , it could look very cool. Take a look at johnjm22's car, his is all primer though, whicj I think look better than part primer.

I think im gonna spray it gloss black or grey wiht a real gun this summer but nothing super. Also gonna do polished 91-92 wheels instead of black. This is just a daily driver so its never gonna be a beauty queen. Im looking into a formula 350 for a weekender.

You should definitely paint it and get some wheels. And if it helps any, a lot of us at one time or another had to drive around multicolored. It's all part of the experience.

Do not worry what others think about your car. If you are happy and enjoy it, then its doing the job.
Dont think you have to have a million dollar paint job on the car. If you work on it and it is a daily driver, Who cares? You would be so paranoid driving it if the paint was perfect.
One of the best Firebirds I ever owned was rusty. I loved it. It always gave me something to dream about...

Are those weld draglites? If so keep them.
As far as paint. Just go to your local auto body paint dealer and buy some gray primer or sealer. Tell them you would like to tint the primer/sealer. They can tint the primer with a color so you can go with something other than gray/black or the red primer.

Excuse me for seeming dumb asking this question, but since I'm foreign and all; what does "going back to his double wide" imply? That he's lazy or something? His doublewide bed?
As for the car, I have seen alot of quick black gloss paintjobs that don't work out. Black is the color which shows most of the quality prep work done, or the lack thereoff. A lighter shade would hide more.
Just a thought, why not just paint the yellow part blue? Since the car is mostly blue, this would seem to be the least work, and perhaps best result for the buck.

here in america, people with very low income, or live in a place that is less than standard, cant afford regular homes.
a "Double wide" is a mobile home that has 2 sections. it can be trailored by a big rig truck to a location. they usually have wheels on mobile homes.
in america, people tend to make fun of people in mobile homes, call them "hicks" or people with substandard intelligence.
he was making a joke about the car, meaning it looks like it would come from a person that owned/lived in a doublewide.

The wheels are cool, I really like them. The car would look good if everything was blue. Seems you only need to paint the one fender and the nose, the hood could be kept black, it would be alot better than a home gloss black paint job, and easier to do. Think about it, seriously.

for a quick fix, you could paint the nose, hood, and passenger fender blue to match the rest of the car at Maaco or somewhere dirt cheap. Then think about if you want to change spoilers or ground effects or whatever you want while saving up for a good paint job.

mw66nova don't listen to the gfx guys, sports coupe for life man!
yeah, i definetly think you should get new wheels, so that you can send those draglites my way!!!!!
seriously though, if you got new wheels, would you sell those to me?
If you want those wheels, check the classifieds here at TGO, they are for sale. I am pretty sure he wants $400 for them w/ the slicks and front tires. Rest assured he is a great seller to.... I just bought my A/C delete box from him.
Oh and I think your car will look great w/ the hood, fender and nose painted blue to match the rest.

The first thing I would do is LOSE those sitckers on the hatch glass. That looks far tackier than the mis-matching paint on the body.
My opinion on stickers is that unless they're (companies) going to pay me (in either cash or parts) for advertising, they're not going on my car.

If you are worried about the paint getting messed up I agree with the macco job. Heck go up there and ask one of the guys if they want to make some $ on the side. Tell him you want only X,Y,& Z panels painted to match the body, no body work! Then scuff it and let him shoot it. See what he will want to do it after hours. Chances are a lot of those guys might have a compressor at home that could do the trick!

Let me know what u think Black or Blue. Also what rims would u use? Also what do u think a ASCD SS hood would look like? I would like to change the hood but dont know what else is out there. Anyone got pics or ideas for a hood? Thanks
