He manufactures fiberglass hoods and is one of the sponsors of this board. I assume he is guaging interest in a new product he wants to market. Check out the link at the top of the page for American Sports Car Design. By the way Rex the hood repair came out fine with the 'vette panel adhesive by Evercoat. Thanks again, Jay

EDIT: looks like Rex and I were replying at the same time....

6" sounds a little big for me.. but what about a slightly larger ss hood. not as big as the super duty hood on the ponchos but somehting that offers a bit more clearence like 3" or so?

I alerady have a hood scoop mold for the taller SS .It would not use the factory correct grill as that would be a little small looking .

Would be good for some of the more serious racers where a 4" cowl isn't tall enough

I think I can get that done also .I have had to fire 4 long time employees in the last couple of months for employee theft. I go to court the 7th with 2 of them pleading out on the charges. I have replace them with some excellent new people who know better and can do a lot better. Rex

I have had a cowl hood set back for quite a while to do the forward vents, but the time has come to get it finished.
I alos have factory metal hood off of my low milage 92 that I plan on molding ,I thought the the China people would have already be making them by now. Rex

I love my SS hood.. just wish it had an Airbox like the 4thgen cars.

The factory box does a great job, just would be trick to have it pull air from the scoop.

Rex, the grill thats shipped with the SS hoods is that a factory 4th gen ss grill? Just curious.
