Yup, those are the Mustang euros IROC2NV has on his car. I think they look so much better than the stock tail lights.

Car: too many ...
Well he did what he wanted and he likes the look, so good for him. Save us all the hating because we've all heard it a million times. We all know there are alot of people out there that dont like that look. Please spare us from having to read about it some more. Thank you.
I believe the ones he put on there were the Carbon Fiber ones, so they match much better with his paint. Instead of the chrome reflective stuff its black. I cant say I'm a fan of those style taillights either, but I respect the ammount of work it took to get them on there, as well as the rest of the work that has gone into that car.
At one point I wanted to do something crazy like that too, but I could not justify the cost. I didnt want to use taillights from another car, instead I wanted to have a shop make me metal enclosures that mounted just like the OEM pieces. Then I wanted to make my own design cutouts in those enclosures and use LED lights (like the sport trucks do). But the shops that put out good work were asking a little too much to make em for me so I said forget it. Instead I decided to get my hands on a large number of stock 91-92 taillights and go crazy with DIY LED mods and weird experimentations.

I wish he'd post a picture of what they look like, however considering pretty much everything else has on there looks tacky, I don't have too much faith in the tail light kit. I think we should start a petition for APC or some other company to make euros for our car. I'm not sure how many people here I could get to sign it, but its worth a try.
APC wont even listen to you. I have tried on numerous occasions and they pretty much told me to go f**k myself and they will never make any..
plus..the apc tails are **** anyways, they leak and fog up...trust me, the ones i did put on my iroc were apc ones and i had nothing but trouble until i drilled some 1/16 holes in the bottom of the light ..now they are perfect

I think that the factory lights like graboid has are more attractive than the grids. I think that first pic with the vette lights are okay, I definitely think it would look better with only one spoiler. If I had to choose which spoiler, I would go with the 91-92 aero or the "mini aero" like my 88 sport coupe has on it. IMO, that would look okay.

Mine are semi-custom. As far as I know, I'm the only one who's done this.
Won't work much for 'Maros though....

Personally i love the look iroc 2nv has, dont care for the vette look since all the custom trucks have em think its overdone, blackouts look good if sprayed i had avs black outs on mine for a long time but after awhile thought they looked kinda cheesy on my car. I prefer good old polished stocks, during the month and a half mine was in getting painted i spent alot of time polishing my taillights and reworking the border on my custom clear fronts, kandied i think had told me to polish the tails since it looks cleaner, and i did and am very happy

I personally like my car looking like a 22 year old car. If I wanted it to look like a newer car I'd sell my cars and go buy and drive a new car.

Back when I had my Dodge Daytona I considered modding my taillights like this guy did. Basically, he just took the reflectors out and stuff. Maybe something like that can be done here...

It would be pretty sweet if someone did make some clears like that for our car. Those tail lights on the Daytona look kind of cheap. They like exactly like what they are tail lights with the lenses removed.

They're allen-head bolts. I agree, they would have looked better black.
It doesn't matter now as I ended up pulling them off the car. The turn signals weren't quite bright enough to see in full daylight through the blackouts and a couple of the local cops liked to harass me about it (although they never actually DID anything.)
Re-doing the turn signals is another project I haven't gotten around to yet.

Those are beautiful. Any idea on how you would construct those? If i couldnt build em, i would most def shell out hard cash for a nice set like those.

I like that they are painted to match the car but to me they look like blackouts with trailer lights screwed to them. I'd have to see more pics before I make my final decision.
On the other hand, I really like the all clear/white taillight chop, especially on a white car

Seeing this thread makes me realize that GM did a great job with styling these stock tailights. Aftermarket = Puke

Do you have to unbolt / cut / split the tailight to paint the amber from inside, or is it painted from the outside?
