TT 2's On a Red TA
Alright yall,
First of all before I ask I want to say that I have already done a search on this topic. The info I got back was helpful but still not enough to base a good decision on. Therefore...I have a red 87 trans am that was repainted in 1990 from the two tone silver and red...to its present form which is all red with a flat black aerowing. I am looking at getting the American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels in 17 inches and wrap them with goodyear eagle f-1 tires. What I need is:
1. Some pictures of the TT 2's on Trans Ams
2. The exact wheel size I should get...I have read where some people got 17x8 or 17x9.5 or different sizes on the front and back. Me I want to keep all the wheels the same for rotating purposes. Will the 17x9.5 work all the way around or will there be issues with them. I like the wider form of the wheel.
3. What specific sizing/ bolt pattern/ backspacing/ etc do I need...I'm ignorant when it comes to most of this and I don't want to go to a tire and wheel dealer and get screwed.
4. What size tire in the eagle f-1's should i get so as to minimalize rubbing.
5. Any suggestions or comments you guys have is appreciated...ya'll are experieced when it comes to this so thats why I come to you guys with these questions.
Thanks for any and all help yall!

Ok Nolan, your boyds look pretty good and you having a red TA I'm sure you've thought this one out before...but what wheel would you recommend??? I"m open to ideas...the trouble is I can never find red TA's with a wide variety of wheels that i like...your boyds are pretty cool. Anyone else that can answer the previous questions that I have asked keep the replies coming.

I am trying to figure this one out too. I like the TT2 look but cannot decide if they will look good on a TA. The snypers seem to have a more Euro look that fits with the TA theme.

I have 17x9.5's all the way around and am going to get rid of the front in favor of 17x8's. I have a 4th gen rear and spacers for the front. They are all 4th gen offset and the back fit perfectly but the fronts stick out just about 3/8" too much. I don't care about rotating them because the car doesn't see but 5,000 miles a year on it. I'll just buy new ones when the time comes.
