1984 Firebird Dual Chrome grilles

What's up?

My good friend just got a sweet deal on an 1984 firebird trans am, $1150/ 98,000miles. (!) anyway he's doing a little resto and was wondering about getting some chrome grilles.... does anybody know if they can be purchased and where? Or will he have to custom fab them himself...here is a pic. to help visualize....
Thanks!! And we'll post some pics when we finish with the primer.

I think it'd be too big to look good in chrome, but i could be wrong. I thought of doing a plastic grille with a hexagonal shape on mine, but I think I'll stay with the stock solid T/A pieces.

Ive never heard of a place making chrome grills. I think it would look pretty weird but if that was the only chrome on the car. If there was a balance of chrome throughout, it may look pretty cool.

nice pic by the way. My car doesn't look that good anymore.

Chrome in that application would simply not work.

My bird has been in hibernation for the past year, and I haven't had much reason to post on here lately. Just chiming in here and there.

I'll see if I can somehow photoshop a chrome look to the grills and post here.

later,
bill

hmmm......didn't have a great pic of my car or a lot of time to work with. Hopefully this might give some sort of clue as to what it might look like.

Right on! Thanks for the photoshop work there! My bro does like that, he wants to also have the chrome fender trim and door handles (that's another post it self...)
