Then again, what does backspacing have to do with appearence and detail? Shouldn't this question be in suspension/chassis/brakes? Then again, someone could have been kind enough to answer. Then again, I'm just going to stop talking now...

I think the reason nobody replied is because of the subject of the thread, dosnt seem like it has anything to do with wheels until you click into it.

One of the hard things about ordering wheels with custom backspacing is that there are a range of fitments that would work. So you are bound to get alot of different "answers." Whats best for you depends on what you want. Some guys just want wheels that fit, so they get the same width and backspacing as stock. Other guys might want wider wheels that are more flush with the fenders so they run different backspacing dependant on the width. Both 5.25" and 5.5" for a 9.5" wide wheel would work. The 5.5" would be closer to being flush with the fender. The real answer here is either go through all the searches you did and find pics so you can see the result or start reading through Andris's article on backspacing and offset and do your own measurements. Thats the only way to know FOR SURE what you are going to end up with. I run 9.5" wide on the rear with 5.5" backspacing no problems. Its not completely flush with the rear fender, but close enough for me (here's a pic). If I were going to run 9.5" wide on the front I would be more concerned about the backspacing since the wheels turn and clearance would be an issue. So if this were the case I would go through Andris's article again, bust out the measuring tape, pencil, and cardboard, and go do some measurements.

theres how it went last time when it had a wheel topic. i guess it just takes a smart *** response to your own thread before one person out of the 200 views i had on this post actually knew something. anyway, thanks a lot for the response crazy.

123jon321,
i didnt even know there was a suspension board here. there is so many goddamn boards here there is a probably a board for cup holders. i just see so many people talking about wheels on the appearance board i just figured someone would know.

cry me a river.

Your not the only one that makes a thread that gets 200 views and 5 replies. this board isn't what it was 3 years ago.
