hows this for wheel gap!
i finally got the camaro down off the stands today to see what it sits like...holy crap its high!. next year i'll take them out again and cut off 1 or 2 coils.. its stiff though!
also finished painting the door and fender..the door still has to be polished and waxed..so the bodywork is pretty much done now unless i can get a Z28/IROC hood and gfx somewhere.
before picyou cant really notice the big dent in the lower half of the door...or the rust bubbles around the edges in this pic...but you can see how the front fender was pretty well destroyed):
after:
sits a little high eh?
BTW it was fun movin the car around the hous with open manifolds!!!!!!! CHUG CHUG CHUG
with the camaro out of the garage the GTA can finally get back in for winter...the camaro is going to the backyard under a 2x4 framework with tarps..

it looks like mine when I put front springs in it. It turned out that the springs weren't in the grooves right. The springs have a certain place they go on the car. If there not in right, the car will sit up high like that and be extremely stiff.

either theres no motor in it or you put solid pieces of wood instead of springs because you can even see the struts are practiacally fully extended.
If those are srping take them out and cut them in half to get proper ride height :P

At least you know you wont have any bottoming out issues if you decide to jump some ramps or something.
If the springs were installed correctly in the grooves, give the car some time to settle.

And as said above don't wax fresh paint. there are still solvents that need time to fully dry. Waxing will cause many problems until the paint is done drying

my 87 sits very low with just a set of Eibach's, I would definately fix that!!!! Good luck on your project though, you'll have fun with it.

Imagine, roaring down the street, high as a truck, and all the sports car of a camaro. nice.
