Pics with new 17s on my Camaro
hi,
here are some pics with my new Borbet/Remotec wheels.
Specs:
17x8.5 inch
ET +13
front: 235/40 back: 255/40
they are for 5 and 7 series bmws and only rub on the outer side of the steering (don't know how to call in english) when I turn the steering to the limit. I worked a little bit on it and will install some 7mm wheel spacers in front.
the guy who sold them to me let them get painted and polished, they had the stock alu look in the past!
5 hours, cleaning, polishing and waxing payed out.
to do:
1. same tire size in the front as in the back
2. slam it again to the ground
just for information: these wheel/tire combo is close to 10lbs lighter than the steel 15s with the baloon tires EACH wheel!!
and the handling is amazing, can't await to get the kumho ecsta mx on next year!!
more on my cardomain page: link
greetings from germany

Those wheels do look pretty good.
Clean looking car as well, that's about the color blue I'd like to eventually paint my camaro.

Those look really sweet on there. I definitely want to get some sort of BMW rim for my Camaro.

thx for all the congrats. before I saw them I was a little sceptical an wondered if they could look cool on the car. but the final is so sweet! just need to be lowered now, especially on the back!
as I wrote above, they have the bolt pattern and the center FOR the 5 and 7 series bmw.
I don't think, that these are still in production. I've got a TÜV (german testing thing) document from 1993!!! for these wheels.
maybe you can find them on the german ebay...
they are called Borbet (manufacturer) B (series)
I will add a close up of a wheel as soon as possible.
greetings
