Okay guys...
Do you guys think I should get my car lowered? I've narrowed it down to either the Sportlines: 2 inch drop-or-the Prokits:1 inch drop. What do you think?

Somebody modify that Thirdgen Modifications 101 Tech Article to include lowering springs........
Yes, you should lower your car, Airbags would be really cool, but can you justify that amount of money on it?

I'm still not sure what I want to go with. If I could get an airbag system that would just lower and raise my car...that's all I would need.....nothing fancy. If I get the sportlines...I won't be able to adjust the ride height. Also, if I go with a set of lowering springs..I'l have to get my exhaust re-done. My McCord Power Plate and Cutout are pretty low to the ground as it is....if it was much lower...I would be hitting everything...

Do you need LCA relocation brackets after you lower? I could have swore I read something like that...
Ive been thinking of doing this myself. But I would also have problems with my exhaust too I believe.

Lowering - A must, how much - that depends.
I don't know how you drive or where you use your car, but my recommendation is to be safe and lower your car 1." I prefer a fixed height suspension, which is why I didn't vote for airbags.

Car: too many ...
I say it depends on why you want to lower it. Do you want the look or do you want the handling? If you want the look then Airbags would be the best choice, with Sportlines being second choice. If you want the performance then Prokit would be first with Sportlines being the second choice. (this is all just my opinion hehe). I wanted both and I'm a cheapazz so I'm running adjustable spring pertches with specific rate and length springs. Bags are nice if you can afford it, but definately go with the new Air Struts if you plan to drive hard.

If you COULD buy dropspindles around the corner, i'd say install them AND the eibach pro-kit. But you may have trouble finding some, so i say sportlines and cut off a coil or so. Because even with sportlines the car will have the truck-ish stance

I seccond what flyinlow said, If you get sportlines, (wich you should) you need relocations brackets and LCAs and an adjustable panhard bar. I was hopping all over the place before I installed the Relocation brackets and LCAS in my Z

IROC,
Your exhaust clearance should be fine. If I recall you are not running lontubes. Your 2055's and 3" sytem will be okay.

Yes, relocation brackets are bascially a must if you are going to do any racing or driving in the rain. They are a huge difference!!!

I see what everyone is saying. But this is all for show, no racing and no hard driving at all. I drive my car how an old grandpa would

Eh for some reason, it is pretty low at one point after the cat. Is the LCA stuff hard to install?

The front kit is part # 75516, The rear kit is part #75616. You will

if you want to be able to adjust the ride height, have you ever considered ground control's weight jacks? little cheaper then air ride, but not as easy to adjust
i have the prokit, and i really wish i i would have went with the weight jacks so i can adjust it. it almost needs to be another .5" lower and i would be happy. like you said, there is always room for improvements
here is a pic of my car with TT2's and the prokit....

what are weight jacks? I'd like to know more about'em. I'm really just looking for something that will allow me to adjust the height of my car....if there are other options than airbags...that would be cool...even if it would be harder to adjust..

I just dug this up too
Kandied posted this awhile ago in an older post...
"for those who don't want to do that and are looking for the cheapest way you just replace the springs with bags and call it a day."
I wonder what the price difference would be? I really wouldn't care if it would be harder to adjust....

i have seen jeff's system in person, it is a very sweet setup. but if you just replace the springs with bags, i believe you wont have the handling that you would with a system like jeff's. however, i dont know how much different it would be
ground control
there is ground controls website, its a lot cheaper, and i am still strongly thinking about getting them for my car. there are a few people that have them on this board.....
