Alright, well the bags came off of a friends nissan hardbody. The brackets i had custom made by a friend of mine who does alot of custom work for low riders, ricers, and all that other stuff. Right now its only on a two way system, front and back, but im getting it changed. The air lines are 3/8 and i use a 3 gallon tank that fits perfectly in the spare tire spot in the trunk. Being that my car is a convertible their isn't much room, especially with my system in the trunk. I also use a Viair 550 compressor. I don't have any pics of it because i moved to another town for school and my dad has the car at his house so that we can continue to fix it up while im off at school, im not real big on driving it alot so i decided not to bring it. RIght now we are looking into changing it to a 4 way system but i need to get more valves. Also the people doing it told me about the new 7inch touch screen air ride control with remote. Its got pretty much everything you could need to keep your air exaclty perfect. We just can't figure out where to put it. But i'll let you know as I find out more.

lol...you know i have to mess with you. people want to see pics you should like that anyhow!
with that said what exactly are you looking to have done? the problem with chrome plating parts is not only cost but quality. there are certain chemicals that aren't allowed in certain states which can deminish the shine as well as longevity of the chrome. i had wanted to chrome plate everything when i got started but after realizing how expensive the right way was i quickly changed my mind. there are other alternatives to chrome plating that look just as good. my parts are currently ceramic coated which is the powdercoat used on headers mostly. you can see in this pic by looking at the rad brackets, hood supports, hinges and otherwise. best part going this route is the parts are polishable...but hold up and it's cheap!! dirt cheap. in fact my engine bay in this picture has only $300 dollars in modifications. to chrome plate everything instead and do it the right way you would be looking close to $2,000+ for parts noticeable of course which is alot for the little things.
check out www.paulschrome.com if you want one of the best shops. i believe they are in PA.
another alternative to plating and powdercoating is a new process called permachrome which has just recently been starting to grow in the last year. boze alloys were the first to offer the coating on their wheels and now edlebrock offers it as a finish on their intakes. it's as durable as ceramic coating like what i have but just as shiney as chrome without all the hassles. it is twice the price of ceramic coating but it's 1/6th the price of chrome plating and is just as nice.
get us a picture and i'll tell you more....

Well thanks alot, i was looking at the ceramic coating before but i didn't think it could get that shiney. Next time i go home if my car isn't in pieces i will try to get some more pics. But the pieces like the radiator support and other plastic pieces, can they be coated too?

nothing plastic no, in fact any plastic you see that is chrome looking is either metal that's been plated or it's plastic that has been vacuumed. by this i mean a process in which they use a chrome like die and a vacuum setup to basically plate the plastic and make it look chrome.
places do that as well but they are hard to find. i know of one here in michigan and that's it. but, anything can be done. if you have an idea let me know as i'm sure i know someone or somehow to get it done for you.

Yeah i was actually referring to the stock intake from the TPI. You know the big plastic Y. I think i have seen that chrome or polished before but im not sure. Also, who did your ceramic coating?

yes i've seen it chromed as well as polished. some have gone as far as to make their own out of metal and go that route. you could vacuum plate it though and get the same effect. just think back to the 80's when some of the high end interiors had chrome window handles and trim....that's all it was.
as far as the coating i had any competent powder coater should work with ceramic coating and get it done for you. permachrome is relatively new and very costly to set up so you won't see that for awhile across the country. currently you'll have to ship the parts to california for such a process but it's worth it. i will be redoing all my pieces in such very soon.
it's unfortunate you weren't closer to my own area as i'd just trade you part for part that's ceramic coated for stock since i'm not going to be using it anymore.

pick up some of their chrome paint and paint the part, looks very very close to chrome and not cheap like the chrome spray paint you see in stores.

Cool, have you used the chrome paint for anything yet? If so, do you have any pictures?
