This Camaro is my Inspiration PIX***

This car is the inspiration for everything i do with my IROC, maybe some of you will recognize it and maybe some won't, it was in a Popular Hot Rodding Magazine under a Street Racing Article a few months ago, only it was painted white.. Very Pissed off car!!

That car is absolutely sweet looking.....:hail:....There are very few color combos that look better then an all black car...

However in his ad i noticed a few details.....

1st off......How in the name of *** did he get that car to weigh 2600 pounds????????

3 gallon fuel cell mounted behind front bumper
Please don't do that to your IROC, you are asking for a nice explosion if you crash it.......

haha no fortunately i dont have a 3 gallon fuel cell, i'd only make it to the corner and back if i did, however i do have a 2 gallon fuel cell mounted in the stock battery location for my nitrous

I was wondering the same thing about the weight of the car, i have absolutely no clue how got it down to 2600lbs, i'm really hoping for 3300 and even thats getting hard to do

Cars only look good like that when they have enough horsepower to require looking like that.

Nothing's more lame than seeing a pro-street looking car and finding out it's only got 3 or 400 horsepower.

YOU SAID IT!!!!! When I worked at the track, I saw so many cars that looked like they should run 8's, but only clicked off 13 second passes. What a terrible waste of fabrication...

I don't think the car is "pro streeted". If I remember correctly the car has 30x12.5 tires on it and has just had the fenders massaged.

Its hard to tell but it looks like he has a 4 link and I can't tell about the wells, anyway it is hard to get a thirdgen to sit that low in the back with big tires on it.

My car weighs 2916 with me in it. That weight is very feasible.

What would one have to do to get a stance like that?

What tires, wheels, and is there as drop?

And what's funny is I have a different pic of that car on my pc, as my inspiration, and I saw the pic you posted and not knowing it was the same car I was thinking, "dang that car looks just as good as the one I love" hehe.

No doubt. I'm pushing 400+, w/o a new chip and injectors! You couldn't tell a wink by looking at it. And I agree with the masses, that car sets absolutely perfect.

Those pix aren't the same car, thats a 1988 black IROC, the one i posted is a 1991 RS Camaro.. The one i posted does not have a 4link, it is a stock style suspension car, adjustable LCA's, S&W Torque arm etc.. click on the link i posted and read the description again, very HOT car! A perfect example that a torque arm suspension can work just as well as a 4 link or ladder bar system. C'mon now 8.50s @ 165mph !!!

Also getting that stance isn't a problem, first of all he mini-tubbed it to fitting the wheels and tires underneath is no problem, he's got 345's under it!! All u need for the ride height is either a lower spring or adjustable coil overs, i plan to acheive the same look.

Anyone got any more PIX of this car????
