Wow, major transformation. I like the paint, side-skirts, and the tail-lights, but I cant handle the wing, bumper covers, and the exhaust tips. Got a close-up of the tail-lights from the back and from the side?

Love the wing......

The amount of work done on that car is respectable in it's own right.....
I have followed it since you posted the red/black combo.....
Now get us a shot of how the flames were done on the SS hood.....

I can't believe I haven't seen your car before, I thought I'd noted all the custom rides on here. I love it man, awesome work! The taillights and spoiler are sweet!

I like the paint job, but man, you need a decent pic of your vehicle.
I really want to see the front bumper.

Keep it clean guys, I don't want this to turn into a flame war.
Anyway, it has come a long way. I like the hood and the paint isn't too bad, but the rear end and the nose look very out of place to me.
But its your car and your money and your work, so you should like it.

GFX are cool, something different. one thing i noticed, the front rim on the driver side is spinning with the "cut" of the wheel and on the passenger side it's spinning against the cut. maybe its just my eyeballs.

everything else looks gross to me, but i can definitely respect the work you've put into it.

Here's my take on it, I respect the fact that you love your car enough to personalize it and put the money into it so I'm not going to flame you or you car. Just some things I've noticed.
I think most of us are in agreement on the front and rear bumpers so I won't comment.
The tailights are original on a 3rdgen, but the outside corners don't look to fit as well as I'd have hoped. BTW: We need some side shots of the rear.
To me, the wing isn't all that bad. When I had my 92 RS in 2000 I was thinking of doing something similar, albeit, not that wing. Its not the style, just the heavy, "bubbliness" that doesn't do it for me.
I love your wheels - If you ever sell them, put me first on that list.
The only other thing I noticed that I didn't quite care for was the sideskirts. Its not the idea, but the way they fit on the 3rdgen body. The gfx-less 3rd's are rounded at the bottom but the GFX help to bring the body more straight down and IMO, they do it quite well. The only thing I see that looks a small amount out of place is illustrated here:
It looks like a gfxless car that had some gfx stuck on it and they sit a little too far in.
...that and how they line up (or don't) with the front bumper's gfx:
Again, I'm not flaming, in fact I think it turned out as good if not a little better than we all were expecting.

the only comment is on the flames. i absolutely love the color you went with...that white fading to blue on a black car looks awesome...but i dont like the style of the flames at all. looks kinda half-assed.
nice to see somebody doing something totally original though

ok..ill see if i can address everyones questions comments..
FLAMES:
they were done as to be used as a tribal effect (with a sort of flame to them) but were done free hand with a paint sprayer not airbrushed
SIDE SKIRTS:
they are from a cavalier and needed to be cut about 2 inches shorter..so thats why they tuck under so much..
FRONT BUMPER:
i got that when i first got the car..it was the first one (prototype) and i havent found anything else that even is close enough to what i want
TAIL LIGHTS:
i have plenty more pics and can get even more if you need some and yes...that was the biggest part of the time spent in the shop (Was in for 5 months..they took 4.5 months to do)
RIMS:
they are for sale.
any other questions..
lemme know..

The front bumper - I honestly think it'd be cool if a company made a front bumper that was different, yet still flowed well with the natural 3rdgen lines. I mean, the stock front end can get boring, it'd be just a matter of finding something close enough to stock to look like a 3rdgen, but far enough away to where it looked a little more modern.

To be honest, I think it looks cool. The color combination is perfect. I'm really liking those tail lights, although they are off a ford. I think the wing fits the style of the car, and although I wouldn't do it to mine, that front bumper gives it character. All the work ties into together perfect. All in all, I give it :hail: :hail:. And I'm not sure, it could be my eyes, but did you shave the sidemarkers and move them up and behind the wheels?
PS. I'm glad to see someone take the time to modify a 3rd gen instead of buying a Honda or some other foreigner.
Nice Job

well i have followed your posts for a while, i remember the black and red you had the car painted with that front end and how much crap you got. i probably handed some out. but i have many compliments on how it looks now, the paint is outstanding looking, i think the taillights turned out better than i expected, and the wing, well its ok i guess. i like the side skirts, i think they are a nice addition. i still dont like the looks over the front end, but from what you said i dont think you love it much either. it just doesn't flow well with the lines of the car. and the muffler tips, well you've gotten enough crap for those...
but like i said above i think the paint is beautiful and the taillights look pretty good. and the sideskirts i even think look nice, the wing is ok, something different but i hope you find a new front end you like more, the car will look much better IMO with a new one that flows better... and the rims are really nice too...

thanks guys.
i really appreciate everything you have said..both good and bad...
im actually keeping the front end at least til 2006 cuz i have to start doin some other things (motor, suspention, brakes, rear end, tranny etc) so thats where my money has to focus on now..
but i will continue to always be in search for the next body mod..as long as the other mods (as listed above) dont get neglected..

with the amount of bubbly stuff on the car (Front end, side skirts etc.) a RAII hood might work a lot better, instead of being so round and then having the ss hood which has all straight lines. other then that i really love the tail lights, looks kinda like the vette style only actually matches the car.

Love the wheels, and as usual the front bumper cover looks like you had no cover and saw that and went eh itll do.
