Post Pictures Of Boyd Coddington Wheels.

This isn't really a "Post pics of your wheels" thread its for picture of Boyds wheels. The reason I wanna see the wheels is that you can't tell enough from the pictures on there site. I wanna see the wheels not really the car(camaro or whatever) cause I found out this morning that the wheel looks alot different to me when away from there buisness.

"A story"
Ive been looking for wheels for about a month so ive finally figure im gonna get Boyds and I was gonna get a set with a soft lip. Now out of the soft lip rims on the site I really didn't like the look of the rims I figured they would probably look like crap on my car. The rims I really wanted were on a black camaro I seen on here and I had saved the picture. They had a 5 spoke design and looked to have a soft lip.....I figured they were probably more then I wanted to spend so I never messed around with looking for them. Now the weird thing was this morning I was messin in paint and clicked on the wrong pic, it was the camaro with the wheels I wanted. Now when I open the pic I also clicked on the wheel on my mouse and made it zoom in on the pic at witch point I seen that the wheels on the car were actually Boyd Coddinton wheels. I then went back to the site and looked really hard at the wheels and finally found them...they were Boyds hot rod wheels.

That brings me to the point of this thread......you really can't tell how good they look from the site you really need pictures other then those pictures then use of just the rim. So if you have a picture of Boyd wheels please post them so we can get a better idea of how they look. I'll start

just look up mini truck magazines as boyds are very popular with that crowd for the price they go for is rather reasonable.

i loved the hot rod myself until i noticed the star design in the center but if you ask they will remove that......ended up going with something different but boyd makes some nice wheels. far above colorado customs. definately up there with billet specialties, budnik, hre, i forged, boze, intro, etc.

check out www.guagemagazine.com and you'll see all sorts of examples of billet wheels on vehicles to get a better idea.

there's only 1 person that has ever asked for it to be removed because most do not know you can change some of these wheel designs. when i spoke with them about it they claimed it would be done at no additional cost to me. my only problem was not knowing how it would turn out which scared me off and i went with another wheel. all the designs are cnc programs, they just delete that part and it shouldn't be a problem seeing as how they aren't built on an assembly anyhow.

Kandied-cool... I didn't know they could do that... I guess it makes sense, tho... I see ur current rims are a lot like the Hot Rod wheel.. is that why you got 'em??? Urs are like a grand apiece, tho, right?

no i got my wheels because they where very close to the stock 91 z28 wheel as i could possibly find but in an 18. to get a clean and classic look to the car.

i really liked the hot rod but i had a chance to see the quality of boze and was able to work out a deal with them to pick up a set since they had yet to build any boze wheel for a thirdgen which was another plus to me. at the time i bought mine boyds were running around $350 a wheel. you could pick up intro for around $450. budnik wanted close to $550 and boze was up around $600 but if you searched you could get them for around the same as intro. hre/iforged/heavyd's and the rest were all up around 700 with base options.

if you look closely at a 91 z wheel and my boze wheel you'll see similar differences. if i had a flat cap on the hub it would look alot closer.

Very late post but man the Stinger Wheels look great man. I would go with the "regular" Stingers instead of the brushed just not to copy you.

mine have the optional show polish option...not brushed.

thanks though, as far as "copy". doesn't bother me a bit, imitation is the highest form of a compliment.
