I got hosed off ebay on my 18" wheels, what about these?

I did the "buy now" on ebay from some guy Andy and he hosed me, kept my money order for 3 weeks, never returned my calls or e-mails, well he finally called me back and said he could not get the wheels and that he would scrape together some cash and send my money back to me ...

Anyway, once I get the money back (if I do), I am thinking about a set of this wheel below in 17"... I like them, anyone running these yet? Anyone got pics yet?? I like them better than the style 077 eagle's anyway, however I still need to run spacers, but that's okay.

where? c below

http://www.jdwheels.com/eagle_alloys.htm

Great site, they sell the ROH style wheels also, the ROH are just a few hundred more for a set then the eagles. I love them, they look smoking, I did however, see a set on ebay for cheaper, but I cannot access ebay at work (sucks).

That sucks about the Ebay thing. Sorry to hear it. Can you do anything about it if he doesn't give you your money back?

well, not really. Nothing that will get my money back, except hunt him down and kill him

I will report him to ebay as a bad ebayer, he will just come back with another name and do it again to someone else. I am hoping he gives me my money back, I hate people that mess around like that, it's not like it was 30$ or something, were talking like $600..

Anyway, I love them wheels, I am working a deal as I type this with the manager (as he has worked with me before to match and beat prices), so I will see what he does for me, if he gives me the right deal, I will buy them now.

There new, they fit 4th gen's not 3rd gen's so you still need to run 2" adaptors all around, but worth it if you look at the price, you can get them in silver which is what I am doing and a set of spacers for around $750. I got a set of adaptors from a guy for $200 and the wheels for $510 if I get the deal I wanted, not bad...

thier alright, i don't like eagle though as their chrome quality is pretty poor which is why they are cheaper.

the amount your going to spend on adapters and wheels you could have a nice custom set of billet wheels that would look 100% better but it's just my opinion. for a mustang wheel they are one of the better, if you like it go with it.

Boyds are WAY more expensive than these

I bought these rims last spring for my 95 Formula coz its all i could afford since im in school. I decided to buy polished instead of chrome, so they were only like $800 Canadian (like $550 american) they look awesome for the price. only problem is theyre only 8".
here pics on my 95

how much are you thinking your going to spend on these wheels. do the math and add a min of 50+ for each adapter to the wheel.

Hmm...I don't think the 18x8 (255/45/18)look to bad from the rear.
Granted, 18x9 or 18x9.5 would look nicer.

Tommy, and everyone else, I am looking for a nice 5 star style wheel, 18" whould be cool, but I am not really into the IROC style myself. I like the ones I posted, but I guess there sold out, I am looking at other options, now since I have a car on blocks I need a nice set of wheels fast. I am willing to spend up to $750 with shipping on a set of 17-18" wheels.

I like all 5 star styles...

Anyone got any hook ups? Or any more ideas? When you say billet wheels, what styles are we talking?

I was going with 18's with the eagle 077, that is the ones I got ripped on, can anyone find them for around $550 with shipping? That was the deal I had going, I would pay no more for that style, but more for other styles if they look good. Silver, chrome, whatever, I will work with them (if silver I will polish later).

1st rule of Ebay is never buy from someone who only takes money orders.

2nd rule is if you must buy form someone who only takes money orders. Only send USPS money orders.

Why? defrauding anyone on them is a federal crime and considered mail fraud. Other money orders do not have federal protection on them.

taking other money orders or cashing someone check and screwing them is just a small crime like getting a speeding ticket and easy to beat in your local mayor court.

defraud on a USPS money order and you have committed a federal crime and will be hunted down and will not be going to mayor court.

This guy did use pay pal, however, I did not have money on my car at the time, so I just sent a money order.

This guy just e-mailed me today and said, he could not get to his bank to get a money order, so he is sending me a check.

I am sooooooo pissed, I am so sure his check will bounce. However, he under esitmates me and my abilities. I work for the US Government, I work closely with all major branches like CIA, FBI and NSA for intel issues, overtime I have become friends with a few of them, and now they owe me favors. I will hunt him down and get my hands on his neck if this check does not clear. I will not stop until I find him, I can pull up his record, where he lives, any information on all cars he has owned, credit history, and after that, I will shut him down and just mess his life up big time, what he did was wrong, and I will have my revenge.

I have decided that I may go with the ROH synpers in a 17" I like them, there one of THE best wheels you can get for 3rd gens, and Kim is working a deal with me on shipping and everything else.

Does anyone else have any good wheels for sale? Because I do have a hook up on adaptors and will get any style wheel (4th gen or not). I can spend up to $750 on wheels alone (to include shipping and lugs)

To be honest, those Eagles look like a cheap ROH Snyper knockoff.

Okay, I went ahead and ordered the snyper's. I am happy about it, but 87 GTA Runner, I will not be needing the adaptors anymore.

I am sorry, what with all the run around I went through and end up loosing it, then the wheel thing, I am best off just ordering wheels off a reputable site. Sorry about that bud.

From what I have read, wheels with adaptors are not that great, one person said they ride bad and I can only imagne they must be weaker than bolting right up to the axle/hub.

I am happy now (will be more when I get my money back).

However, if I could have any wheel, that one above from eagle that someone posted pics of on their 4th gen green bird loooooks great, just a nice looking wheel for the money.

Snypers are top of the line for 3rd gens I believe, yeah they cost a little more, but no big deal, they will be worth it.

Will post pics when I get them installed.

ok? they dont look anything like snypers, other than theyre a thin spoked 5 star. they look more like a C5 wheel and now even the c6 wheel. My brother got snypers years ago on his stang and they arent that similar. my opinion tho

Cool, I didnt say anyone had to agree with me. They just strike me as pretty similar, look at the way the center is dished, then comes out to form the spokes, which get thinner as they extend out. If the Eagles were dished theyd be damn near identical. Maybe its just me.
