Any rag top pics around? I search but just find convertibles.
I wonder how a 3rd gen looks with a fabric or vinyl rag top.
If done right it should look nice and give some different textures to the car. But done wrong [ black velvet with gold trim] it could be a nightmare hoop-ti special.

i can't even picture it looking good unless someone made a hard top that followed the same roofline as a vert has, otherwise i think the hatch, even if converted to the flat hatch, would screw up the whole look. just my .02

I think a white top would look nice. They use to paint the tops of cars different colors to break it up.

those two cars are some of the nicest examples i bet you'll ever find. i'm sure you may not like the color scheme but i doubt expenses were spared and even if they were it still looks terrible in my book. however it is different and unique which i'm all for. if you want to do it.........go for it. for me it ruins both of those cars though.

I'd have to agree on both parts. I have a hard time criticising anyone for their efforts, but it just doesn't work well with the car considering it's only a "cosmedic" addition. LowCamaro installed a sliding ragtop that looks a little funky, but has a function that's usable. LowCamaro's car is tricked out in other ways too so it's not too far out of place; I do like the car.

Soory about that but no fake vert tops for me.
Just thinking about a smooth vinal covering for more texture.

I almost bought a 2nd gen once that was blue with a white vinyl top and interior. It was only $300 with a rebuilt motor and I was broke driving a pinto with a rear main leak.
[But if not for that leaking pinto I would not of been able to trade up to a 68 ford galaxy and then trade for a 9.5 sec kaw tripple drag bike. It was worth the $185 ]
