Wheel offset and backspacing?

I am looking to get a set of corvette zr1 rims but I see 2 different types of offset and backspacing for them. I believe they both will need the adapters but will they both be the 2" adapters. The wheel sizes are:
17" x 9.5"+38mm offset (6.7 inch backspacing)
and
17" x 9.5"+56mm offset (7.4" backspacing)

The first one says they were for the 84-87 corvettes and the second one says they are for the 88-96 corvettes.

Any help with this would be appreciated because I am going to buy them with my tax returns that should be here this week so I need to know what adapters I need to buy for them. My car is an 89 Firebird Formula 350 if you need to know.
