I don't particularly like the color, the black ice is more for me. The rims are cool though, and ROH is awesome for making 3rdgen specific rims. But I guess teh color would just be determined by what color the car is..

to make that color, would you need it power coated or auto paint to make that color? Maybe even real gold? I dunno.

These photoshops are my first where i actually did something.
I'm trying to find a color right for the firehawks but its hard my friend. I cant seem to get the color balance to make things go black. I want to ad black color toit and i cant.

how do you think regular firehawks would look like on our cars. They are pretty cheap too. $699 for 4 silver painted ones and $1099 for chrome ones
seen below-
and chrome
I think the chrome loks good but to match the color of my car the silver might just be better, what do you think, here is my car-

i dunno, i kinda like those firehawk rims. But i'm not good enough to make them snypers into chrome. I'm not really a big fan of chrome. I'm more into bare aluminum, stainless steel, and silver finishes. Those are my colors. I'd like to have a nice chrome engine bay though, thats awesome, but not on the exterior.
I dunno, i might try the Snypers but i dont wanna get something that later i'll regret. Snypers are cool and all, but the firehawks, well nobody on here has done it, Nobody.

Gold rims are fine in my opinion as long as you just have the inner part of the rim gold, because I like to see some contrast with a polished lip against any kind of color coated rim.

yeah thats exactly what i was trying todo in the first place. How did you get em to be black?
Also reason why cardomain wouldn't let you is becuase its in an uncompressed format(BMP). Next time try putting it into jpg, or png. Much better compression and png has lossless compression which is much better.

yeah d00d, thanks to your tutorial i was able to start effectively using my PhotoShop.
Again though, how would you get that kinda finish on a wheel? powdercoat maybe? Just regular paint? Or gold plate it(lol, not really)?

Hey kidrcth, where are you getting those prices for the corvette rims. I am looking to get a set for mine but I want black ones. I have found a place that I can get them powder coated black for around $30 a rim if I can't find any black corvette rims.

Also, nothing really over 17 cause then tire prices are almost as much as one rim.
I might get my some Z06 rims, with the 9.5in width. Get me some 275/40/17 tires and i'll be rolling. Reaping the benefits of extra traction and new looks.
Also kinda looking at ZR1 rims that are black, 17x11 in rear and 17x9.5 in front. Get me some 315/?/17 for the rear, and get even more traction. Though someone told me that the 315s couldn't fit in our wheel wells without rubbing on everything.

I had gold GTA rims on my Formula for a while. I bought them cheap and was going to paint them black. I sold them and make some profit and put the stockers back on until I bought the RONALS. I have seen the RONALS with gold windows on a white GTA and a Turbo T/A and did not look too bad.

Car: too many ...
I think with the right paintjob, the gold would look good. I've always been a fan of white w/ gold pearl paintjobs, and gold colored wheels. I thought about doing it to my ROH ZS's, but more of a Bronze instead of gold (just darker gold), and a polished lip. But I decided to go with black instead because it would match better with other colors (in case I want to put the wheels on any of my other Camaros). My cars are Orange, Green, and Black so the Black spokes would match better with those colors instead of the Gold. I say it all depends on what color the car is.

These look so much better, it makes me wonder why nobody puit them on. They look great. They look awesome. And they are cheap, $699 for 4 rims. they are 17x9 too. That means i can put my 275/40/17's on there. Its gonna be perfect. Well 275/40/17s on the back and, i dunno what i should put up front. Any suggestions? I might just put the same size so i can rotate them(beable to take em off the rim and rotate them that way). Its gonan be awesome d00ds.
See the rims here,

i know, but his are chrome, the ones i was looking at were painted silver. Thats why they are messed up. Thats also why i'm getting the firehawks. They are only $699, and Z06's are a heaping $900.
