ahh the budnik series...a nice wheel and in 18" would look great. they are a bit common but a clean look. have you looked at the arrows which are relatively new that is also a very similar design but slightly different.
if you can search back to last year you'll find all sorts of posts when i was looking for new wheels and you should find pictures of the budniks on a few thirdgens.

yea they are budnik fontana FL (fat lip). custom billet wheels, so they can make any backspacing and offset needed. they are killer. ive checked out all of budniks, colorado customs, and boyd coddington's. i seem to like these best. kandied.....you got any other suggestions? i like your taste

well imediately you'll run into issues since the fl option will only work on the rear and as cool as they do look for all intended purposes on the street anything wider then a 2" lip can easily bend on even slow bumps in the road. so with that said and experience running a 4" rear lip i strongly suggest going against the fl design in any wheel.
i like the budnik wheels overall for their design and quality, if your into the custom minitruck scene that style of wheel has been used countless times in magazines and whatnot. while that isn't a bad thing because they are sharp and obviously used for a reason i myself would want something that isn't as common.
i've seen quite a few of them in person and i like the x series the best. i think the arrows are very sharp in person as well as the gasser model is an interesting twist which looks sharp on our cars surprisingly.
it's all about preference really. if your a boyd timeless fan the m5 is a much bolder version that is sharp. i think the thicker 5 star designs look really good on our cars which is why after the months of research i ended up sticking with a really simple design.
just check them all out and once you decide think about it for another week and then decide. you'll figure it out.

yea i really want a fat lip but dont want to take a chance on bending the rim. i was also looking for something under 2000 a set but that wont happen for 18's. so it looks like an engine will have to wait for a good set of billets. i want something that looks good period. common or not, i dont wanna go the TT2 route because i think those are a little too common but the fonatana and rodder 5 if pretty much what im looking at right now. just need to get another grand in the bank....

Looks okay.. think I'd need to see them on the car. Definitely better than what's on there currently though.

Hey CamarosrusRUS, you car is awesome, those wheels are pretty sweet too. check out my car domain site for some cool 17s they have them in 18s too. I am still debating on keeping the 17s or going to 18s. car domain
Edit: when I said the wheels are sweet I meant the new ones. I really don't like the ones on there now. hope you get some new ones soon. good luck.

camaro05 nice ride. i liked the z06 rims but personally i like the new ones better. i prefer a little dish to the rims (unlike my own!) but i still like them a lot. GO WITH 18's!!!! they look so much sweeter on our cars

19's in a dish will look like 18's. however for the street driven car it is pretty impracticle with the profile you would have to run to make them safe from bending it would look out of place.

that was one problem i found with them too which is why i was lucky enough to come across the boze wheels that i did. my suggestion to you is to check out custom car sites and look for wheels on the car.

Just a heads up about Budniks and I guess all oversized wheels in general. Be SURE you get tires with a reinforced sidewall. Otherwise if you hit bumps, its possible that the sidewall will flex and the actual rim becomes damaged making it out of round. This happened to both the rear wheels on my truck before I sold it. Those wheels were Bidnik 17's (not even FL's) with a 40 series sidewall that was not reinforced. Very bad idea. My current Boyd 18's on my Camaro with 35 series sidewall (rear) have had no issues so far and I've hit some pretty mean potholes (rain was really bad in 2003, hawaii roads are jacked up now). Just a heads up. Reinforced sidewalls are definately the way to go.

do a search the ss 10 spoke wheels have been beaten to death so you'll find all your answers. you'll need roughly a 2" adapter all round...for a few hundred more you could have custom billet wheels made. unless you love the style or get the rims dirt cheap it isn't worth it.
just like CrazyHawaiian stated, it's very important and even still you aren't guaranteed protection. just understand the wider the lip the easier chance of bending. many companies are doing a double rolled lip nowdays which also helps with this.

Do you mean you need reinforced tires for rims with a substantial lip???

that's a good question.
with my tires there is no particular rating on them but in the catalog and when you call the company they are listed with some sort of "rim guard" built into them. for instance my toyos have a substatial thicker "lip" where the rim meets that you can notice over a similar tire without it.
while i wouldn't say you need it for smaller rim tires the larger rims are a must with a thin profile tire.......it isn't a guarantee but it's definately somewhat of a peace of mind and i'm sure it's helped my wheels out once or twice.
regardless i definately say to stay away from too large of a lip. as much as i loved my 4 1/4" rear lip that i had in the rear they didn't last long and i had to have them fixed. they had the doubled rolled lip as well as tire guard and it still wasn't enough for a bump in the road. you can see the lip size here, i really liked the dish but it just isn't practicle for street driving....

I mean if the sidewall of the tire is less than 45 you might want to think about it. I haven't had this happen with any 45 series setups I run, but it did happen on a 40 series setup. But then again, we're talking hawaii potholes here. Its like driving over the grand canyon.
