ROH 17x9 Snyper wheels

First off, for you guys running the ROH 17x9 Snyper wheels with a 1-1.5in drop....are you guys rubbing at all?

Second, where did you guys get your wheel from? The cheapest I have found was $179 for 17x9.

I have ROH ZS wheels that are 17 x 8.5 but no drop on the suspension so I can't answer the rubbing question but I do know where to look for the wheels. Try JDwheels.com. They can probably answer you question about rubbing too. Very knowledgeable about our cars and very helpful.

One more thing to try is a search. There are a lot of guys on these boards running Snypers and that's how I did a lot of my research. The one name that I can think of off the top of my head is ShiftyCapone. Try a search of some of his posts.

Try these guys too. They're the actual importers. They have an outlet in Arizona and one in NewYork. Prices appear to be similar. Shipping may make the difference, especially if you can pick them up.

i believe they do... people have put s10 wheels on thirdgens, and i've seen thirdgen iroc wheels on s10's.... i think it may be only 2wd s10's, though......

bump, i just got off the phone with jdwheels and they said modification MAY be required if i want 17x9 in the front. im running the eibach pro kit, so that prolly doesnt help any. prices i got were
179 each wheel
25 hardware (lugs, socket, valve stems)
50 shipping

anybody offer any insight wether or not 17x9 will work? planning on a 275/40 tire

ahhh...so I am not the only one they told that too...I know they told me that it will rub on some cars and on others it won't. So I should go with 17x8 to make sure no rubbing will happen.

17x9's on all fours with 275/40 in rear and 245/45 up front. No rubbing at all with Eibach Sportlines drop(1.5" front, 2" rear). I got my wheels from a local wheel/performance shop. They make 3rd gen specific snypers so you don't have to worry a whole bunch about measuring.

You mean you dont have to use spacers, if that is the case, how can I get a hold of them. Cause I would like to order some, and about how much do they cost?

No I do not use spacers. I paid about $208 per wheel. You can buy them from www.jdwheels.com and www.groupawheels.com, I think. A quick search will tell you. Anyways, ROH makes a 3rd specific snyper in 17x8, 17x9, and 166x sizes.

Well even if I had the same size I would only be able to rotate the rears to the front. Most big tires are uni-directional can only be rotated in the mannor I described.

Oh yea you are right. I didn't mean to put the ol' negative on that idea but instead just explain to other people who want to rotate as well.

What difference would it make if you ran all 17x9 or rear 17x9 and front 17x8...better handling?

As opposed to? I have 17x9 all around. A 17x9/17x8 combo would look pretty good and handle about the same. There won't be much difference.
