Can I run 285/35/18 in the rear??

Hi, I found someone is selling used 285/35/18, I thought they looks cool but can I run them on my 8.5J rim ?? I am running 255/45/18 now, they are oversize but the thickness looks great....

Any idea??

I am running a 275 35 18 on my y2k c5's and they are 9.5", I think a 285 35 on a 8.5" rim wouldn't be a good idea!!
