Removing the undercoating, finally.
I just spent half the day trying to detail and remove the Rusty Jones undercoating on my car. Everytime I go to a big show, I get points off for the undercarriage being dirty. It's not really dirty, it just looks nasty with the beeswax undercoating. Here's the befor and after shots. I still have more to go, alot more, but it's an improvement.

Damn, thats dedication right there! Looks good. I would cover it up with por-15 or something if it were my car. I think a nice black under carriage looks good with new looking suspension and exhaust parts showing, but then again i'm not a judge! What kind of shows require this? No i am not wanting to know for future refference, just looking for more info. Car shows can get sick, like having a young child in a beauty pagent. It gets to be very insane what some people want to go through.

Thats exactly what I'm doing to my 82. After I put in the passenger floor boards and make the mid section frame i'm gonna sand blast the entire under carrage and Por15 it.

ya, very nice..
what i did with mine was grind out some, or most of the rust, then used this rust hardening thing, primmed & painted black.. cheap, but... worth the few bucks to help save my car on the bottom side for a few years, until i get the big bucks to do it properly.
Good job man.
