Clear coat peeling, ideas for fixes!?
Hi all,
I am attempting to make my 84 2.8 camaro look better... but since it was made in the LA factory the water based paint wasn't to good on it... The clear coat is peeling and looks really bad... I've been able to get some off by spending a long time with a razor blade down there... Any ideas for how to improve the appearance? Thanks a lot!

Hmmm, razor blade and paint....you're a braver man than I am...wow. Anyway, depending on how bad it is, some better quaility detail shops might be able to help. I had clear coat problems and a local shop was able to sand and chemically remove a few layers of clearcaot and then apply another coat and buff it out very well. Maybe cost you $100.
