Fitting a spoiler to my Firebird.

I am going to fit a rear spoiler to my 82 Firebird. I think they don't look right without them. This may seem a strange question but there are no other cars around to compare to. Could some one tell me how far from the edge of the deck lid is the spoiler mounted.

Thanks

Which spoiler? My base model spoiler mounts about a half inch from the rear edge.

I have the same type spoiler as you have on your car.

Thanks for the information Mitch
