My Restoration
Well I got a few pics of the progress I have made on my car.
I really just took the cheapest route on restoring my car (there is no such thing as a cheap resoration...I know). I figure, if I screw up now i will fix it later, since i plan on being the 2nd and last ownder of this car. One day I will do a full frame off job, but for now, this is all I can afford.
Rusted area area around the rear firewall.
After a prep for paint.
The Por15'd rear
The red interior compartment
And the black interior compartment done with por15 and spray paint.
Have been learning a lot and I am really happy I finally got decided bringing the car back to life; there is really nothing more rewarding then a new look to an old car.
Also, a quart of por15 says it is supposed to go 96sq ft. They werent lying, I still have like 3/4 of the can left. I hate rust or the thought of it ever exsisting so that was easily the best 40 dollars I have ever spent.

Wow, looks much better, I will (eventually) be doing the same to my car. I have a hole in my firewall (from rust) that lets water in. Once I fix that I will be redoing my floor boards, much like you did. Getting rid of surface rust and one small hole.
I will most likely remove most body panels and sand down the car and give it a new paint job again. I need to replace the windshield and some other little parts.
This is all in my 5 year plan.
Good work on your bird. looks alot like mine.
later,
bill
