car-shipping co. question

I know this isn't appearance related, but this topic doesn't fit on any board at all, and I know this one gets the most hits. I'm thinking about buying a 3rd from a guy in Texas. I live in Georgia though and I'd spend the same amount on an airplane ticket and gas/lodging on the way home as if I just paid a shipping company to transport it for me. Have any of yall shipped a car before? I looked at a car-shipping website, and they had links for hundreds of companies. I mean, there were probably 90 companies that were just listed under "A". So if anybody knows of a good company, or knows somebody who's shipped a car, let me know. I'd feel alot more comfortable about this if I could get a reference for a respectable place and talk to somebody who's done it before. Thanks.

mods: if you're gonna lock this, at least let it run for a little while so i can get some responses

e-mail stsa84@hotmail.com if this gets locked

Try dependable auto shippers aks DAS. They are based out of Dallas. I have used them 2x and they are excellent. BTW I am in Texas and would be glad to check out the car for you in person if it is in the Austin area. I also have contact in Dallas and Houston that can take a look if you want some eyes on it before you buy,

Good Luck!

i used AAA Discount Auto and Truck Shippers. http://www.autoandtruckshippers.com/ it cost me $495 to ship from VA to CT. i was happy with them. on their site, they do have a lot of helpful information about what to look for when choosing a shipping company.

I don't know how many times I have to say this before people actually listen. Just because this forum gets a lot of traffic does not mean you can post anything here.
