Nope, real tuners run MAP.

I need to head to bed. Julian wants to come over early and finish up his Trans Am. His car needs a fuel filter and it's ready to roll.

How would you go about cleaning an engine compartment weakly? Degreaser or just car soap and water?

Zepher..I want one..where'd you get that??? And yes Polish it!

samdog1232000...just use soap and water. to do the engine bay, but you shouldn't have to do it weekly, well unless you drive aloit of stone roads, and in the rain???

It's aluminum and it is huge in person. It is from a mack truck, just have no idea which one and what year. I traded a rear end for it with a friend of mine who had it on his 90 Formula 350.

I am putting in a 6 speed.....eventually. I'll live with the auto for awhile.

I wouldn't be using soap and water on his motor. LT1= Optispark. Optispark and water don't get along very well!

I am running LT1 heads and LT1 intake. Had to sell the LT4 parts a few months ago because of this minor accident,
.
Spun out on the highway at 75mph and slid nose first into a guard rail, then spun around and tapped the rear on the guard rail and finished the 360 and pulled over to the side of the road.

I am running the Hedman 68460 long tube headers. Not sure if they are the best for this application, but they look cool and were really easy to put on from underneath the car.

I probably should have kept this setup,

But I was going to run MAF on the LT1 since I didn't know you can turn it off in the 94-97 cars. I love the dual cold air look.

Spray painted headers.... That’s going to peel off.

But nice intake, definitely polish it

I am not too worried about the headers. I used the same paint on my manifolds a few years ago and it never peeled off,

Is it safe to steam clean an engine comparement as long as you cover the distributor and other electrical parts. My engine compartment is pretty dirty. I havent cleaned it since I bought the car!

Wow what spraypaint did you use? I used the 1200 degree stuff from autozone and it's peeling a lot.

That is the same stuff as I used and it never peeled. Maybe the manifolds are different since they are so rough and not smooth like the headers.
