3 piece to "High rise" spoiler conversion
Just a few quick questions about converting to a 91-92 type high rise spoiler on a regular Iroc. i tried a search but couldnt find anything of substance for my questions.
1. Will the holes currently in the decklid work for mounting the new spoiler?
2. Any good suggestions for filling the holes on the rear quarter panels that will be open after the swap?
I figured on this one I would MIG weld the holes shut using a penny held up to the back side that would provide a nice backing that the welds will not stick to.
Other then these items, anything I need to consider further?

Nope....the holes won't line up at all...atleast they didn't on my old 84 Z28 when I cloned it to a 1992 Z28....I had to weld EVERY hole up...and drill all new holes in the deck lid. The holes do come close...but....not close enough....I used a MIG welder...and it worked great...no problems at all..

Your best bet would be to go to a junk yard and get a decklid without any holes in it, then drill the holes for dirll the holes for the spoiler and weld some steel behind each hole for the side spoiler holes and fill the little area in with bondo or you could weld that in as well and sand it smooth.
